A large Japanese bronze Hibachi (brazier) of lobed circular form, the sides cast beneath stylised lotus with panels of Chinese dignitaries at various scholarly pursuits, with two large swing handles on the shoulders, the whole on a further circular bronze support and wood stand. Overall height 11.5in. (29cm), diameter 15in. (38cm), 19th century.

The fluted inlaid side pilasters and apron frieze with ormolu mounts conforming panel sides on chevron band inlaid turned tapering legs with chased ormolu socket feet. 4ft. 2.5in. (128cm) wide.
A French mahogany vitrine, the rouge marble top with a pierced gilt brass gallery with draped border, the frieze with die stamped gilt vitruvian scrolls and having gilt bronze pendants of fruiting foliage, a bow glazed door and angled glazed sides with stamped gilt mouldings, the interior lined with striped fabric, with two shelves, the apron frieze and cabriole legs with gilt bronze mounts. 28.25.
