Group of shabti for Irt-Hor-eru (lit.: ‘ the Eye of Horus is against them (=the enemies of Horus)’ )Unusual small transitionary hand modelled(?) mummiform wax worker figure: wears tripartite wig; eyes indicated by incised dots, other facial detail modelled. Wears long tripartite wig, whose rear lappet stands proud of the back, and straight beard. Hands modelled, hold incised tools: hoe and semi-circular seed bag on cord over L shoulder.Long, thin tapering body. 1 of 3 examples from this group. The figures have tapering, thin ankles of TIP bronze figures, and may therefore have been intended to be cast in wax, or originated from a casting workshop. 6.8cm. A small rectangular bronze plaque, embossed with a bust of Mussolini wearing a steel helmet and the word “Dux”, and in small letters below the head “Piergiacomo Castiglioni”, the reverse bearing Mussolini’s signature and three fasces, in its original box, the lid gold impressed with maker’s name Lorioli & Castelli, Milano and Roma.
