A bronze ox-cart formed as a rectangular sheet body with axle tube affixed under and two eight-spoked wheels; the squared boom extending forwards with yoke to accommodate a pair of oxen, with a small bell at tip. 343 grams, 18cm (7"). Property of a Middlesex collector; acquired on the London art market before 2000; formerly in an old English collection. Fair condition.

1949 Land Rover Series I 80 InchChassis no. MPH is pleased to offer this early example that has been fully restored: today the bodywork, Bronze Green paint and wheels/tyres are described as very good and the interior (seats front and rear trimmed in green vinyl) is also said to be very good. A canvas tilt is fitted. The engine is vendor-assessed as excellent for starting and running while the running gear is reported as being very good, as is the electrical system. Useful fitments include a spare wheel, power take-off on the rear bumper, mechanical governor and a pulley wheel to power a saw bench. A superb example of one of the earlier Series 1s featuring the lights behind the grille.
