9th-12th century AD. A bronze patrix die for the production of repoussé mounts, formed as a central ropework disc and four ovoid radiating lobes with interstitial radiating strokes. 13 grams, 33mm (1 1/4"). From an old Munich collection; acquired on the German art market before 2000. Cf. pendant of similar form in Sedov, B.B. Finno-Ugri i Balti v Epokhi Srednevekovija, Moscow, 1987, plate XV, item 9. [No Reserve]
AFTER BOSCHETTI, PATINATED BRONZE SCULPTURE, H 20", W 12", AUGUSTUS OF PRIMA PORTA: Modeled as a standing Caesar holding a scepter, having a putto at his feet astride a dolphin, with raised decoration on his chest plate; medium brown patina. No apparent markings. Similar to an example by Benedetto Boschetti [Italian, 1820-1870].
LEON THAREL [FRENCH, 1858-1902], BRONZE SCULPTURE, H 10", L 10", 'IDLE FIDDLER': A resting boy with fiddle, medium brown patina, signed "Tharel" and stamped with two foundry marks along with SUSSE FES. EDTS. Paris [see additional photos]. Measuring H.10" x 10 3/8" x 7", on a mottled green marble base, H.11 1/2" x 12" x 7 7/8" overall. The bow is removable. Leon Tharel, French, 1858-1902.

A WWI propeller for the 110HP type Le Rhone motor, c. 1916-18, of laminated dark hardwoods, variously stamped inscribed "English Type Boss DE H5 110HP Le Rhone Eng - No 1708, G193 N/22", shows some minor age-wear, fitted with bronze bracket to rear of hub for wall-mounting display, 115 in (267 cm) (1)

Three Bronze Death Plaques 'Richard Henry Hocking Hunt', 'William Cyril Simpson', 'Arthur George Henley', good very fine and better Two possibilities for William Cyril Hunt, one to a Private in the Australian Imperial Force the other to a Lance Corporal serving with The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) killed in action on the First Day of the Battle of the Somme (1.7.1916). Richard Henry Hocking Hunt was born in Truro in 1896, he served with the Royal Navy during WWI and was killed along with 12 other men when the Torpedo ship which he was working on exploded in Ramsgate Harbour on 26 May 1917. R.), edge bruise to first, very fine, extremely fine with Bronze Memorial Plaque (Maurice Leonard), presented in a modern glazed frame, with copied research 31492 Private Maurice Leonard (1882-1917), born in Sharpness, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, enlisted in Bristol served during the Boer War with 2nd Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment (5900), re-engaged for service during WWI with the regiment at Wotton-Under-Edge, died 3.12.1917, Leonard is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral, France, his death certificate confirms him "missing presumed dead". One of the popular set of Casimir Brau-designed leaping animal mascots offered in the 1920s and early 1930s, this model was employed for use with the M.G. 18/100 and 18/80 series of cars and was thought, at one time, to have been designed by F. Gordon Crosby, nickel-plated on bronze, a little worn, signed on the base by the artist, and stamped 'Depose', 8 1/2in long, hollow base, not mounted (1)
