Eugene Delaplanche (French, 1836-1891), 'Fee aux Fleurs', gilt bronze modelled as a flower fairy dancing with her arms held aloft, dressed in a flowing diaphanous dress, signed 'E. Delaplanche' and 'F. Barbedienne' to the base edge, mounted on a polished marble socle, 15½in. (39.4cm.) high. *Condition: Very good condition, with no faults.

A rare Victorian novelty treen Cambridge University rowing oar dip pen, the spoon with applied Cambridge University insignia shield on a pale blue ground, the sleeve in brown leatherette, the bronze tone tip marked with the Birmingham makers T. Hessin & Co and numbered 1029, overall length, 10 1/8in. (25.8cm.). *Condition: in excellent condition, with very little wear.
A Chinese bronze censer and stand, impressed Xuande four character mark to base but later, of archaic form, of bellied circular form with twin handles and very short, circular foot, on a lobed stand with three ogee feet, overall 5¼in. (13.3cm.) high. (2) *Condition: Has obviously been used as a jardiniere for a considerable time, as the interior is heavily crusted with water residue and streaking. The exterior also has deterioration to the patination throughout, with speckled oxidisation, scuffs and streaking all over. There are no chips or cracks to the bronze.
A French gilt bronze mantel clock with Sevres style porcelain panels, second half 19th century, the baroque style case with figural surmount depicting a seated classical maiden holding a bird's nest, the front with two Sevres style panels depicting putti, flanking the Roman enamel dial, raised on foliate scroll feet, the twin train Japy Freres movement, no.34358, signed by the retailer, Henri Marc of Paris, further signed to dial, with outside countwheel, striking the hours and half hours on a bell, 13¾in. (35cm.) high, on later slate base. * Condition: Winds and runs. Strikes correctly. Case good. No damage to porcelain panels, Dial has minor flakes from enamel around winding holes and retailer's mark a little worn. Otherwise good.
Tom Greenshields (British, 1915-1994), 'Sam and Sandcastle', cold cast bronze resin figure, no.69 from an edition of 100, numbered to base, 10in. (25.5cm.) high. * Provenance: Framed, 46 Friar Street, Worcester, with original purchase invoice dated 20th Dec. 1986. *Conditon: Good condition with no faults. Base is dusty and would benefit from cleaning.
A patinated bronze twin handled vase after the antique, 19th century, tapered ovoid form, dark brown patination, decorated in relief with classical maidens and cherubs within borders of ivy leaves, extending into the ivy branch handles, on a circular foot, lacks base, 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high. *Condition: Some verdigris to interior from use and a few verdigris spots to exterior. Foot slightly mis-shapen. Lacks base.
Two Chinese bronze censers, the first probably 19th century, archaic form with twin raised ruyi scroll handles, floral and scroll pierced cover with kylin finial, rectangular body with engraved ruyi border, cast archaic script Xuande mark to base, raised on four cabriole style legs with beast mask decoration, on a separate stepped plinth, 9in. (23cm.) high; together with a censer of circular form with raised hoop handles and tripod feet, cast Xuande mark, probably 19th century, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) high. (2) *Condition: - Archaic style censer: Chip missing from corner of cover. Piece missing from tip of one handle. Has been polished - remains of good patina remaining to underside and interior.- Circular censer: Has been polished - some red rust spots showing to exterior.
A modernist bronze sculpture of a reclining nude couple, signed with initials, possibly EG, with mid-brown patination, 24¾in. (63cm.) long; together with a similar black painted terracotta sculpture by the same artist, unsigned, 20¼in. (51.5cm.) long. (2) *Condition: - Bronze: Good condition. Dusty, slight lighter rubbing to patination on edges. - Terracotta: Good condition, with just a few tiny rubs to paint to the female figure's face.
A novelty French bronze LEBLANC FRERES Victorian desktop inkwell or desk tidy, fashioned, very finely, as a little miniature hat box with nice detailing all over, the straps on the lid run down the sides of the inkwell, just as they would on a real box. The lid is hinged and underneath is a further lid marked with the French makers Leblanc Freres and number 658, heavy, 2½in. (6.4cm.) high. *Condition: in excellent condition with great dark brown patina, the inner lid with scratches.
John Hassall (1868-1948) Car Mascot, modelled as 'Robert' the comical policeman, signed, HASSALL, gilt bronze body and sprung enamelled ceramic head, stamped registration number to underside of feet, Rd. 611941, dating the mascot to c.1912, mounted on radiator cap, overall height, 5in. (12.7cm.). *Condition: ceramic head with rub marks, otherwise good.

A unique and extremely rare 19th century gilt bronze desktop box fashioned as a snooker table, top quality box with fine detailing, the hinged lid with sunken green baize playing surface, two snooker cues with wood effect grain and patterned detailing, three balls, the shaped rectangular surround with two chalks and a plaque to each side showing the scores, 52 and 47, the top opening to reveal a red and gold cushioned velvet interior with eye catching floral patterned design, the sunken rectangular void for storage, the box raised on Regency style turned legs, 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.). *Condition: in excellent condition with no faults found, great patina.
A 19th century French patinated and gilt bronze mantel clock by Raingo Freres, Paris, with matted gilt Roman dial with egg and dart bezel, the twin train drum movement with outside count wheel bell strike and silk suspension, signed 'RAINGO A PARIS', no. 2642, the parcel gilt architectural case surmounted with a recumbent greyhound, raised on gilt foliate scroll feet, 15in. (38cm.) high. * Condition: Some wear to black numerals and some spotted tarnishing across gilt dial. Case good overall with good patina. Winds and runs briefly but soon stops - will require cleaning, oiling and servicing.
A pair of patinated bronze Baroque style five light candelabra, late 19th century, mid-brown patination, the five scroll branches with swagged urn form nozzles, on an urn form column with twin beast mask handles and lion mask, fruit and gadrooned decoration, raised on a waisted circular base with gadrooned and foliate decoration, raised on two pairs of foliate scroll feet, 24in. (61cm.) high. (2) *Condition:Very good overall, with original patina with just light wear to edges and raised detail.

Rare novelty cold painted bronze grasshoppers playing tennis, Austrian, late 19th century, the grasshoppers with realistic ribbed early celluloid wings, each holding a racket, one in full serve with ball, 2½in. (6.4cm.) high. (2) Condition: wings intact, showing most of their paint, very good.
A French Empire style gilt bronze figural mantel clock garniture 'The Chariot of Telemachus'. The clock cast after Jean-Baptiste Boyer to a design by Jean-André Reiche, unsigned, Paris, late 19th century The eight-day bell striking movement with anchor escapement regulated by disc bob pendulum and backplate stamped with the A.D. Mougin roundel over numbers 4 5 to centre and RACK, FRENCH MAKE, A1378 towards the upper left hand margin, the dial with leaf chased baluster-spoked ‘cartwheel’ centre applied over a gilt engine-turned ground within slender silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, with blued steel moon hands set behind a fine rope-twist milled hinged convex bevel-glazed bezel, the case with movement and dial forming the wheel of a slipper-shaped chariot with finely chased roaring lion to front opposing half campana urn-shaped elevated rear section supporting the standing figure of Athena holding aloft a shield behind the robed Telemachus who is driving the two rearing stallions at the front of the chariot, the rectangular plinth base applied with a spread eagle cast mount flanked by laurel wreaths, the whole standing on four supports modelled as fasces applied with upward projecting axe heads inset into the canted angles, 42cm (16.5ins) high; with a pair of matching garniture side pieces, each modelled as a shouldered ovoid vase with twin scroll handles springing from bearded masks applied to a foliate band over twin cornucopia cast mount to front, on leaf cast and fluted socle applied to rectangular plinth base with eagle mount to front and faces supports to the canted angles, 34cm (13.25ins) high. The subject of the case housing the timepiece in the current is sometimes incorrectly referred to as ‘The Chariot of Apollo’ or ‘Chariot of Diomedes’ however the original design drawing, dating to 1807 by Jean-André Reiche (1752-1817), survives in the Bibliothèque National de France, Paris and is inscribed ‘Char de Télémaque’. Of the original early 19th century models many examples survive including one in the Spanish Royal Collection, another in the Musée de Château de Malmaison as well as two in the Musée François Duesberg at Mons in Belgium.
