Rolf BIEBL (1951) Budapester Paar (1980) Skulptur - Volumen, Bronze grün patiniert, H: 26,5 cm,verso in der Plinthe monogrammiert,Nach dem Abitur an der KJS- Kinder und Jugendsportschule Dynamo Klingenthal studierte Rolf Biebl von 1973 bis 1978 Bildhauerei an der Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee bei Werner Stötzer und arbeitete anschließend dort als Aspirant. 1979/1980 folgte eine Aspirantur an der Akademie der Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Budapest. Zurück in der DDR war er von 1980 bis 1983 Meisterschüler an der Akademie der Künste der DDR bei Ludwig Engelhardt. 1981 gründete Rolf Biebl zusammen mit seinen Malerfreunden Clemens Gröszer und Harald K. Schulze die Künstlergruppe NEON REAL. Seine Arbeiten im öffentlichen Raum findet man in Berlin, Rostock, Frankfurt Oder und Cottbus.

JONATHAN LOXLEY (BORN 1960) - BRONZE SCULPTURE a contemporary bronze sculpture of curved interlocking form, unmarked. On a mahogany revolving stand made by Nigel Northeast, Cabinet Maker. With a hand written label underneath. Bronze 13cms high, 24cms by 24cms *This was apparently purchased in 2003.
COLLECTION OF CHINESE SEALS late Qing Dynasty, comprising a pale celadon 18thc style oval seal carved with a recumbent lion (3.2cms high), a white and pale green jadeite cylindrical seal surmounted with a Buddhist lion (5.5cms high), two spinach jade seals surmounted with lions (6cms high, no seal marks to base)), a pair of beige and brown flecked reddish soapstone mountain form carvings in shallow relief (12.5cms high), a bronze square seal surmounted with a seated Buddhist lion (5cms high), and 3 other carved soapstone seals all mounted with Buddhist lions. Also with a small metal Chinese box with seal inside. (11)
CHINESE BRONZE RITUAL LIDDED PEDESTAL BOWL - DOU, EASTERN ZHOU DYNASTY a ritual food vessel, the bowl raised on a stepped pedestal foot, with a circular handle to each side of the body, decorated with two bands of leiwen, below a further band to the domed cover, and the wide flaring finial. Some damages, 17cms high, also with one volume of Early Chinese Bronzes, Albert J Koop, 1924. (2)
CHINESE SMALL BRONZE VASE - 17TH/18TH CENTURY a small bronze vase of flattened ovoid form, applied to each shoulder with elephant head handles, the rounded body rising from a rectangular foot and with incised decoration, below a waisted rectangular neck with incised pendant leaf motifs. 9cms high
JAPANESE TSUBA a circular iron tsuba, with a depiction of a Dragon in relief and with gilding to the rim (7cms dia), also with a larger Sentoku oval shaped tsuba with depictions of figures to one side and cresent moon to the reverse, (8.5cms by 8cms), and a smaller iron tsuba with seal mark and characters to one side (Tetsugendo School) (5.5cms dia). Also with two small bronze and ivory kagamibuta netsuke, a shibayama ivory netsuke, and various beads etc.
LARGE JAPANESE BRONZE VASE probably Meiji period, the large vase with Dragon mask handles to the neck and flared rim, the body and neck with a variety of birds and foliage in high relief on a ribbed body, and supported on a circular foot. Seal mark and characters to base, 61cms high. Also with a pair of Japanese bronze vases, also decorated in relief with birds and foliage, 41.5cms high. (3)
JAPANESE BRONZE VASE Meiji period, a large bronze vase with a fret key border to rim and base rim, the centre with a three claw Dragon in relief amongst clouds, the reverse with a bird amongst foliage. Seal mark to base which translates as Great Japan sentouku Meiji made, and with a makers mark. 38.5cms high

Signed to the base and dated 90. 70cms by 63cms *This instrument spans nearly two octaves with the tuning in E Flat, Tobias Kaye is a wood turner and instrument maker based in Devon who created Sounding Bowls to produce healing sounds.
JOHN ROBINSON (1935-2007) - BRONZE FIGURE OF A CHILD, BIRD BATH Arabella & Wren, a bronze figure of a girl sat cross legged, holding a dish in her hands and with a bird perched on her fingers. Signed to the underside of the dish, John, 1988, Arabella. 61cms high *This bird bath was commissioned along with the bust in the following lot in 1988.
JOHN ROBINSON (1935-2007) - BRONZE BUST OF A GIRL a bronze bust titled Arabella, with a depiction of a young girl with a bird perched on her shoulder. Dated 1988 and signed John, and mounted on a marble square base. 42cms high overall *John Robinson was a British Sculptor and co founder of the Bradshaw Foundation, he produced a wide variety of life size and small bronzes of children, athletic figures and various other examples including a commissioned bust of Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother. He was also the official sculptor for the British Olympic Committee in 1988. This bust was commissioned in 1988 along with a bronze birdbath of their Grand Daughter Arabella, and comes with various paperwork from the sculptor.

A gold-lacquer ryoshibako (document box) with en-suite coverBy Harui Komin (1869-1922/3), early 20th centuryLacquered in predominately gold takamaki-e, e-nashiji and kirikane, the overlapping lid decorated with the 'Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove', each standing and holding their respective attributes, with the face and head of each sage inlaid in bronze or shakudo high relief, the inside of the lid similarly lacquered with butterflies hovering over chrysanthemum shrubs growing from behind a brushwood fence beside a meandering stream rendered in gold togidashi maki-e, the inside of the box with chrysanthemum stalks supported by a bamboo fence, all reserved on a rich nashiji ground; signed inside the lid in gold lacquer Harui Komin with a seal Kiyoshi no in. 4.3cm x 22.5cm x 24.5cm (1 5/8in x 8 13/16in x 9 5/8in). In the Meiji Period he worked for the art dealer Ikeda Seisuke. After the closure of Ikeda's business in 1912, Komin went to Kyoto and later, for health reasons, to Suma. Not many works by Komin are known, largely because he rarely signed them. He worked in a classical, conservative style, predominantly executed in gold, silver and black lacquer, often with inlay of shell, metal, coral and abundant kirikane.
