A 19th century portrait miniature on ivory of a young girl wearing a black dress with frilled collar mounted on card inscribed in ink ` From a Miniature by Lady Be...y; Mrs J ..... August 19 1848` and inscribed to the ivory by W G F W August 19 1848 in a 19th century bronze frame (1.5 inches, frame larger).
Britains Soldiers. ‘Types of the British Army’ Royal Field Artillery Gun Team, early example with 4 horses, 2 mounted with limber and gun in grey with bronze coloured barrel, with 2 seated gunners and officer on horse. Plus a similar later Royal Horse Artillery gun team with 6 horses, 3 mounted limber and gun with 6 outriders and officer. A repainted set. Also a ‘British Sailors Landing Party with breech loading field gun No.79 original box containing 9 repainted figures and 2 guns (original paints) and a limber. Boxes some wear/damage. Contents QGC-GC some age wear. .
St Ives School - Possibly Dame Barbara Hepworth - A bronze sculpture based on Chinese calligraphy raised to a green marble base, unmarked, height 33 cm. Provenance - This piece was originally given to the previous owner by Dame Barbara Hepworth in 1968 while clearing out her studio. Authenticated by the Newlyn Museum of Art in March 2006, complete with current owners purchase paperwork and details, height 33 cm. ILLUSTRATED
