A cauldron, German, 17th century bronze, on three zoomorphic feet, each with a bearded mask, with two handles decorated with scrolling foliage, with a cartouche on the body, inscribed IHS and AB h.27.5cm. This type of cauldron is known as a 'Dreibeintopf'. Many examples of this type are illustrated in Dexel, Das HausgerÅ t Mitteleuropas. A similar example, with the same zoomorphic feet and with bearded faces, was sold at Sotheby's Zurich on 26th November 1980, lot 93.
A 20th century scale model bronze cannon, cast with the ciphers of the Royal Artillery and modelled on a late 19th/early 20th century original, the stopper removing from the barrel to reveal a key spanner for undoing various nuts to strip the piece down, the moving parts faithfully made, the barrel 21cm long
French mantel clock, circa 1870, white enamel dial signed F.L. Hausburg a Paris, with roman numerals, two train movement signed on the back plate striking the half, Brocot suspension and external count wheel, in a black marble case in the form of a classical column surmounted by a bronze study of a classical woman with a dove. Overall height 46cm. (Key and pendulum).
