An International Amateur Athletic Federation World Record Holder plaque presented to Sebastian Coe in 1981 but with details incorrectly inscribed, in the form of a gilt-bronze rectangular plaque, the reverse inscribed SEBASTIAN COE (G.B. & N.I.), WORLD RECORD HOLDER, 100m, 2.12.8, 11.07.1981, OSLO The World Record was of course in the 1,000 metres not 100m., and the fractional time is incomplete and should have read 2:12.18.

A small collection of programmes including an issue for the Leigh v Wigan rugby league friendly specially arranged to be the debut of the Trinidad-born Olympic sprinter Emmanuel McDonald Bailey on 16th December 1953, together with seven other programmes in the lot a mixture of rugby league & football, RL including North Island v South Island (NZ) 29.8.59, Southern Districts of N.S.W. v England May 1946, and football including Manchester City v Everton F.A. Cup 6th Round 2nd Replay at Molineux 5th April 1966, and European Cup finals for 1963, 1968, 176 & 1981 (8) Bailey turned professional in July 1953 joining Leigh for the sum of £1,000 per season for three seasons plus match fees. However, the Wigan match proved to be his one and only game of Rugby League. Reports state he handled the ball 9 times, dropping it twice. He did, however, score a try although there was more than a whisper that the opposition defence were reminded that the game was a non-competitive friendly to introduce a new star to the game! Bailey won a bronze medal in the 100 yards at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games.

A 1900 Paris Exhibition Universelle Internationale medal, round, in bronze, designed by J.C.Chaplain, with the reserved panel at the bottom of the obverse inscribed in raised letters COROT Since no participation medals were awarded for the 1900 Olympic Games held in conjunction with the international exhibition, this is deemed to be the best representation to complete a collection.

A GROUP OF 134 NAPOLEON I BRONZE MEDALLIONS from a series of 141 struck at the Emperor's request by the French National Medallic Mint between 1796 and 1815 to commemorate the most remarkable battles and events during his reign. This series of medals is detailed in Captain J. C. Laskeys 1818 publication, A description of the series of the most remarkable battles and events during his dynasty'. Of the numbered series the following are lacking, according to the numbering in Laskeys catalogue: 27, 30, 31, 41, 85, 112, 113. The medallions ranging from 1.5cm diameter to 6.7cm diameter all housed together with a small quantity of further 19th Century and later Napoleonic and other bronze medallions, within an early 19th Century purpose built mahogany cabinet with panelled doors opening to reveal 21 slides and drawers within and standing on a plinth base, the cabinet 30.2cm wide
