A Japanese damascened and shibuichi cased miniature cabinet (kodansu), early Meiji period, the interior fitted with three graduated coromandel drawers enclosed by a hinged door, the inside decorated with a scene of two cranes, the exterior covered in a swastika diaper reserved on four sides with sunken relief work panels of luxuriant flowers inhabited by birds and insects, finely inlaid and chased in various allows of gold and silver coloured bronze and copper against an iron coloured ground, five mark signature to base, height approx 13cm x length approx 14cm (some rubbing to case).
