A Japanese Shinto Wakizashi, the 52.5cm steel blade with billowing hamon, signed on one side of the tang, the two piece copper habaki decorated with pierced waves, the iron tsuba pierced with two geese in flight over bamboo, with bronze and gilt fuchi decorated with a dragonfly, other hilt fittings missing, with black laquer saya, 75cm. Blade tip chipped, nicks to blade edge, with black patching and pitting. Tang has heavy rust corrosion. Kashira, menuki and bound grip lacking.

However, the early provenance of the medal has been lost to time.

A GOOD QUALITY JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD BRONZE & MIXED METAL HAWK OKIMONO, the hawks feathers carved in great detail, the beak, eyes and claw feet are all highlighted with gilt, the underside of the bird with a three character onlaid silver tablet, perched upon its naturalistic carved base, the hawk: approx 22.5cm high x 52cm wide, on base: 86.5cm high x 63cm wide.
A GOOD JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SOLID BRONZE & MIXED METAL ON LAID TABLE CABINET, each panel onliad with various metals to depict six varying scenes of birds in landscapes amongst native foliage, including quail, geese, peacocks and other birds, the decoration surrounding the panels of geometric form, the twin doors opening to reveal five inlaid drawers, the front also with a drawer, 19cm high x 22cm wide x 14cm deep.

A fine exhibition and award winning 3 ½ inch gauge model of a Great Western Railway 'King' Class 4-6-0 four cylinder express locomotive and tender No 6001 'KING EDWARD VII’, built by the late Mr A J Parker of Eastcote. The silver soldered copper boiler with fine scale cab and fittings including steam pressure gauge, water sight-glass with drain cock, regulator, vacuum control, wheel reverse control, lever operated firebox doors and detailed copper pipework with brass fittings. The chassis detail including twin outside cylinders and twin inside cylinders with Stephenson’s valve gear, fluted motion, drain cocks, lubricator, whistle and other usual fittings. The six-wheel tender with fitted hand feed pump, brakes, water cocks and detailed rivet-work, steps, hand irons, tool boxes, vacuum hose and couplings.The model finished in traditional green Great Western Railway lined livery with polished bright-work, name and cab side plates, fitted steps, handrails, lamp irons and vacuum hoses. Overall Length 133cm. Cab width 17cm.The model comes together with an exhibition display case. Boiler History: No boiler history. Arms of Jersey with date either side, legend surrounding, Elizabeth II (1952-), bronze proof 1/12th of a Shilling, 1954 issue dated 1945 for Liberation, crowned bust right, legend surrounding, rev. Arms of Jersey with denomination around lower half, legend surrounding with Liberation date, weights 9.42g, 5.63g, 9.33g respectively (Pridmore 25A, 49A, -; KM.18, 17, 20; S.7017, 7018, 7023). All toned, the last more so than the others with light thumbprint, with underlying brilliance and lustre, all practically as struck, the earlier pieces very rare. † Guernsey, Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Specimen Set, 1885 H, Heaton Mint strikings of Eight Doubles, Four Doubles, Two Doubles and One Double, Arms of Guernsey, with laurel wreath on Eight Doubles both sides, all with beaded outer borders, rev. inverted die axis, each with denomination date and H mint mark, weights 9.50g, 4.83g, 3.58g, 2.18g respectively (Pridmore 19A, 41A, 59A, 75A; KM.PS.1; cf.S.7206, 7207, 7208, 7209). † Unusual Specimen Striking of the Victoria 1860 Toothed Border Farthing† Victoria (1837-1901), bronze Specimen strike Farthing, 1860 TB, "bun" type laureate and draped bust left, four berries in wreath, legend and toothed border surrounding, rev. inverted die axis, Britannia seated right on rock with trident and shield, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue, denomination in words and toothed border surrounding, weight 2.84g (cf.Fr.500 dies 2+B; S.3958). Uneven tone with some lustre, the obverse proof-like and seemingly struck from the proof die, the reverse of a currency type with lustre and struck with an inverted die axis rather than upright, hence designation as a specimen, otherwise good extremely fine.
