As a national icon Marianne represents opposition to monarchy and the championship of freedom and democracy against all forms of oppression. Marianne also wore a Cockade and a red cap that symbolised Liberty. ‘John Lennon’ 1981 ~ based on a collection of photographs taken on the roof top of Lennon’s apartment on 52nd Street New York on the 29th August 1974 by the celebrated American photographer Bob Gruen (born 1945) a bronze sculpture 425mm high x 370mm wide x 305mm deep including the polished natural stone base by the British sculptor Kenneth Carter (1928 - 2007) signed and numbered 9/15. Note: The artist self published and due to time constraints and limited funds a cold cast resin bronze of this sculpture, which was not for sale, was cast and exhibited at the 1981 Summer Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts where orders were taken for the lost wax bronze edition of 15.

Original vintage advertising poster for emidio Di Nola pasta from Gragnano, Italy. This fun design shows packets of Emidio di Nola pasta in blue, yellow, red and white, with a cockerel standing on one of the boxes. The text reads ‘famous italian MACARONI’. The title is in stylised yellow and blue font on a red background. Located in the Metropolitan City of Naples, between Monti Lattari and the Amalfi Coast, Gragnano is a small town famous for its pasta, which traditionally was air dried, and is now dried with heaters and beaten into shape with bronze. Very good condition, minor staining on margin. Country of issue: Italy, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 66x48, year of printing: 1950s

A 1970's concrete and bronze garden lantern, with an opaque glass shade, on a slender column and cast base. Provenance: Believed to originally have been installed at the American Embassy in London and removed during refurbishments201cm highCondition report: Overall appears to be complete and usable. Quite weathered overall and this has cuased the metal to dull and the concrete to mark. The glass shade appears intact. Is not very stable, so would need to be correctly fixed in place as it is heavy. Not currently wired for use.

A large bronze verdigris statue of Eros, 20th century, after the antique, shown standing holding a bird, with a lyre on his back, on a weighted socle base107cm highCondition report: Overall condition is ok. There is the finial at end of the lyre broken away, but we have it. The base has been weighted with concrete, so it is very heavy to move and requires two people. The colour is patinated evenly. Dirty, as been stored for some time. Some white paint from decorating? to one arm, but it looks like it could be cleaned off.
Eight green glazed ceramic animals including dogs, a cat and an open-winged bird (the tallest 46.5cm and the shortest (a pair) 15cm); together with a modern bronze lion sculpture, 'Lion qui Marche', after Antoine-Louis Barye (the bronze 24.5cm long), a late 19th century Japanese blue and white vase now as a lamp (damages, reparations and re-gluing etc) and a pair of three-branch pressed and cut-glass chandeliers (some damage) together with a large variety of related cut-glass droplets Condition Report: The large seated cat is in good order, the large swan-like bird looks good but there may be a restoration in the neck area. The seated puppy seems in good condition, also the open-winged eagle-type bird has a very minor half matchhead sized chip to the edge of the rockwork, also small piece of glaze away from the tip of the tail otherwise in good overall condition. Two smaller dogs both poodles look in good overall original condition. Two smaller birds - one bird has an apparent neck break (1cm, re-glued) the other is in good condition.
