A display piece comprising a genuine ceramic amphora cracked and broken, inserted a group of genuine Roman bronze coins and brooches in a cementaceous matrix. 1.2 kg, 24cm (9 1/2"). dating: mid-19th Century provenance: India, Curved, single-edged damask blade (pitting), at the forte remains of a cartouche featuring rests of gilt inscriptions; bronze hilt with remains of gilding, quillon and grip in one piece, engraved with floral motifs and decorated with drops of red and green glass paste (parts missing), pommel with central hole. Bronze scabbard with remains of gilding, decorated with bas-relieved floral motifs and geometrical frames, provided with two rings. length 89,5 cm.
dating: late 18th Century provenance: India, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade (of European production?), with thin fuller next to the back, bordered with a series of curved dashes, remains of engravings, also at the base. Nice, bronze hilt with big shell-guard, adorned with fluted decorations and flowers in bass-relief. Short, straight quillons ending in lobes faced downwards, the guard with knots and central decoration with overturn 'C'. Round grip, upper part finely decorated with in-the-round dragon's head with neck covered with relieved leaves. India or Ceylon. length 77,5 cm.
dating: 18th Century provenance: Central Italy, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 14 mm cal. barrel, first octagonal (rear sight is missing), then round; roman style lock, engraved and chiselled with floral motifs, monogram 'J A' inside. Wooden, full stock (small parts missing) with nice, bronze, engraved mounts. Butt-plate with medallion (part missing). Brass-tipped wooden ramrod. length 49.5 cm.
dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Long, smooth-bore, round, 16 mm cal. barrels with square base, slightly chiselled in the first part and with rib; small, morlach lock chiselled and engraved, provided with Arabic stamp; copper and bronze, full stock richly decorated with floral motifs, onion-pommel. length 55.5 cm.
dating: Second half of the 19th Century provenance: France, Straight, double-edged blade with lateral fuller and thin, central groove, base marked 'Manuf.re de Klingenthal Coulaux'; tang with stamp. Bronze hilt decorated with floral motifs in bass-relief, horn, spiral grip with metallic wire binding. Complete with iron scabbard with two suspension rings. length 105.5 cm.
dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: France, Curved, single-and false-edged blade, with large fuller (various pitting), remains of three stamps at the base, one 'L'-shaped, one with 'K' under a star and one not clearly readable; the back with inscription '... Imp.ale de Klingenthal Mai 1813'. Bronze hilt with langets, guard with remains of stamps and with two, lateral loop-guards. Grip with old leather covering (parts missing). Long, smooth cap. Iron scabbard with two lugs, knuckle guard with traces of stamps. length 100,7 cm.
dating: circa 1800 provenance: Southern Italy, Curved, flat, single-and false-edged blade numerous pitting, probably from battles), engraved and gilded with trophies and floral motifs with remains of finishing. Bronze hilt with remains of gilding, langets, quillon and guard decorated with foliage in high-and bass-relief. Ivory, spiral grip with metallic wire binding. Small defects and parts missing. In patina. Brass scabbard with remains of gilding, engraved with floral motifs. Two suspension rings. length 88 cm.
dating: about 1870 provenance: France, Rifled, round, 10 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base, finished, marked in gold 'Prix du Gouvernement', with finished and gilded rear sight on a bronze, engraved base, fore-sight and clutch for a bayonet; bronze frame richly engraved with a wolf's and fox's head among floral motifs, marked above 'COMBLAIN BREVETE 9925 B', cock on the back, trigger guard en suite that acts also as a loading lever. Full stock in two pieces with bronze mounts decorated en suite, an escutcheon missing on the left side (probably with a winner's name). Iron ramrod. length 121 cm.
