A fine light bronze brocaded silk robe a la anglaise, circa 1760, with pinked ruffles to sleeves and original double layered white work embroidered engagents, together with a 19th century quilted satin and copper petticoat with deep lace trim to hemCONDITION REPORT: We highly advise viewing our costume lots in our auction. Condition will be best illustrated via images.The dress shows wear throughout commensurate with age. Including discolouration to the underarms, and minor marks to the lining, along with small thread pulls, and wear to the embroidered engagents. No other obvious signs of damage or repair.
An Art Deco cold painted bronze and onyx ashtray, modelled with a trout atop an onyx base with central well, 11cm wide (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The fish model shows some wear to the painted finish of the extremities (fins, mouth etc), but the majority of the painted finish is intact. The model is somewhat loose on its mount, but it may be possible to tighten it using the nut in the base. The onyx shows minor surface wear throughout but no obvious chips or cracks.

AN ITALIAN CARVED GILTWOOD PICTURE FRAME WALL MIRROR 17TH CENTURY AND LATER The Baroque frame with central cherub's mask 46cm high, 57cm wideProvenance: Bonhams, Fine Frames, 5th March 2008, Lot 86 Condition Report: The frame is covered in a very dark painted glaze, perhaps covering an oxidised silvered layer - it is very hard to discern the quality of the gilding (or silvering) below what apper to be layers of dirt, bronze powder paint and over other painting. The features of the cherub in the centre are as a result of layers of paint, now quite hard to discern. However, the carved frame is good quality and may in fact benefit from some gentle cleaning to reveal the gilded (or silvered) layer. The mirror plate is later (the only obviously later element). A GEORGE I GILT AND GESSO MIRROR FIRST QUARTER 18TH CENTURY With a later bevelled plate 105cm height, 59cm width Condition Report: As stated in the cataloguing, the plate is later. The frame is slightly reduced in size as there are cuts in the lower part at each side. This is probably to accommodate the later mirror plate. The gilding is later and some of the gesso is also replaced. The underside of the scrolled cresting with some gesso & gilding losses which have been patched in with bronze paint.Condition Report Disclaimer

Largely regilded. The pair with eagle supports: both in good condition, one with a crack to the neck of the eagle, the other with chips and losses at the front edge.
