After the antique. A late 19th century French bronze model of the Albani vase by Barbedienne, the base signed 'F.BARBEDIENNE', on a serpentine plinth, 24.2cm high. The original marble vase was discovered at the Villa Albani, Rome and in the Barbedienne catalogue of 1886 was titled as 'Cratère vase consacré a Bacchus'. Provenance: Property from a deceased estate.
A pair of French Empire gilt and patinated bronze figural candelabra attributed to Rabiat, each modelled with a classical maiden supporting a basket of fruit issuing scroll branches, with five lights, on engine turned stepped plinths, later converted to electricity, 68.7cm high (excluding fittings). A pair of 19th century French bronze and Sèvres style porcelain jardinières in Louis XVI style, in the form of classical athéniennes, each with a pierced laurel gallery above a bleu celeste porcelain bowl painted with panels of flowers with gilt borders, each with an integral liner and tripod classical male mask and hoof monopodia supports, with a bud pendant and a flaming finial, 63.2cm high. (2) Provenance: From the collection formed by the late The Hon Mrs Daisy Fellowes, Donnington Grove, Berkshire.
A small 17th century bronze skillet by Thomas Palmar of Canterbury, the handle signed 'THO PALMAR', with an angular brace, on moulded tripod legs, the underside with a printed label inscribed 'HORNSBY COLLECTION', 16.4cm high, 23.9cm long. λ A Victorian ivory box, the lid inset with a gilt bronze portrait medallion by Waldemar Uhlmann depicting a relief bust of Princess Victoria inscribed 'UHLMANN AD VIV. SC.', the verso with the conjoined heraldic emblems of the German eagle and the British Royal Standard, signed 'G. LOOS D. BERLIN', together with another ivory box, the cover carved with a bird feedings its young amidst flower and leaves, 8cm diameter (max). (2)
