Cast portraying the transcendent Buddha Amitabha, sitting in the padmasana position on a tall double lotus flower base, with his hands in his lap in the dhyanamudra gesture, meant to hold the patra bowl. Worthy of notice are the robust build of the character and the fine chiseled floral motifs on the trim of the robes. Typical of this school are the heaviness of the cast and the tall base. Under the base is a double vajra seal and red pigment.
