A mid 19th century French patinated bronze and Sienna marble portico clock garniture, the clock with architectural portico case surmounted by a spread eagle finial and raised on a serpentine plinth base with toupee feet, having an Arabic enamelled dial with outer minute track and set cylinder movement with count wheel strike on bell, H.52cm W.36cm, together with a pair of amphora urns raised on serpentine plinth bases and toupee feet. A well modelled bronze figure of Napoleon, resting against a tree stump, wearing bicorne hat, cloak and boots, armed folded on his chest, legs crossed, with fragment of a wheel at his feet, signed “Sinedon” on base with small maker’s stamp of “Pinedo Paris”, integral base with cut off corners, height 28”, base 9½” x 9½”. A heavy bronze figure of Napoleon, standing in classic pose, in full dress uniform, holding cocked hat in his right hand and clutching sheathed sword in his left, on integral square pedestal base with griffons feet to marble base, signed Ceciani, height including base 20”. Good Condition Plate 20
18th Foot (Royal Irish Regiment) medal 1804 in bronze. Obverse: “Peace” with British lion, holding an engraved wreath with “Egypt” in centre, above which “Virtutis Namurcensis Praemium”, in exergue “Prize Medal No 2 Best Swordsman”, “G” and “R” either side of Peace figure. Reverse: a struck laurel wreath enclosing an engraved crowned harp with “18 Th RI” either side, the whole surrounded by the engraved legend “Instd By Lt. Genl James Pulteney Bt. Won by Ensign Geo Stuart 1804”. VF, the obverse with dark tone, reverse partly cleaned. Diam 47mm, pierced with ring and suspender with ribbon remains. Plate 3. London Highland Society/ Sir Ralph Abercromby silver medallion 1801 by G.F. Pidgeon. Obverse: head of Abercromby right with legend “Abercromby Dux in Egypto Cecidit Victor 28 Mar 1801”, the edge inscribed “The Highland Society of London” which is partly obscured by the addition of a suspension loop. NEF (minor contact marking, an attractive partial tone). Plate 3. Note: These medals were awarded in gold, silver and bronze to commemorate the 42nd Regiment Black Watch’s victory over the French Invincible Legion in Egypt.
Death of the Duke of Wellington 1852, bronze medallion by G.G. Adams. Obverse high relief head of Wellington right with “Wellington” behind; reverse: a grieving Britannia sits facing a column bearing helmet and dagger, legend “Plorant In Fvnere Gentes” with date “Sept XIV MDCCCLII” in exergue, diam. 58mm. GEF, with nice dark ‘chocolate’ tone. In a Hunt and Roskell case. Plate 1. Note: G.G. Adams also made Wellington’s death mask.

BAMBOO BRUSH POTS & SUNDRY ITEMS - Two 1920's Bamboo brush pots (one with woodworm, one split) Included in this lot a Victorian black lacquered papier mache crumb tray, a Beswick duck in flight (a/f), various resin figures, Dutch boy & girl 1930's salt & pepper, 1974 Goebel plate, a wooden carved dragoon boat (a/f), a nut, inri,Canada TYCO train and a Spirit of the Thunderbird bronze figure by R J Murphy.
US AIR FORCE MEDALS - to include UN KOREA MEDAL; US KOREA MEDAL; VIETNAM MEDAL; WW2 VICTORY MEDAL; AIRFORCE MILITARY MERIT; BRONZE STAR; MILITARY MERIT and MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL awarded to Lt Colonel W E Cope of the USAF. He served in WW2 as a B-17 Pilot and by the end of the war was flying P-38’s. He also flew Bombers at the beginning of the Korean War, then went back to Fighters Through to the Vietnam War where he commanded the 103rd A.T. Squadron (H) - Military Airlift Command. Was also a Major in PANG - Portland Air National Guard. This lot also includes his flight manuals from the 1950's.
