ASTRONAUTS: Small selection of signed colour 8 x 10 photographs and slightly smaller (1) by various American astronauts, including Scott Carpenter, Edgar Mitchell, Jack Lousma, Al Worden etc. All have boldy signed the images to clear areas, most also adding their mission names and other greetings (`Reach for the Stars!` etc.). Also including a 2" section of cable used on the Apollo 7 mission, the cable containing four wires covered in a bronze coloured plastic shielded by a braided steel wrapping, originally part of a longer cable supplying power to Apollo 7`s onboard 16mm data acquisition camera which was mounted in a window to record events outside the spacecraft. Accompanied by a colour copy of the North American Rockwell Temporary Parts Removal Tag which was attached to the cable following the craft’s decommissioning and disassembly. VG to EX, 6
An 18th century Sevres porcelain Ewer and Basin, very well decorated in blue green with panels of birds, the basin date coded for 1753 and with the painter`s mark of Jacques Fontaine. The ewer date coded for 1755 and with fine gilt bronze hinge. The porcelain and marks of the period, the decoration possibly 19th c.
