A Japanese Gendaito O-Wakizashi, the 59.5cm blade with undulating hamon, with signature to each side of the tang, the one piece copper habaki with diagonal incised decoration, the bronze tsuba cast with prunus blossom, the green braid bound same hilt with parcel gilt bronze dragon menuki, prunus blossom decorated fuchi and kashira, the lacquered wood saya with leather jungle cover with lacing and press-stud strap. Black patching to areas of the blade. The tang has orange rust pitting. The braid binding to the hilt is very grubby. The press-stud works
A Japanese Late 1944 Shin-Gunto Katana, the 68cm blade with one piece copper habaki, iron tsuba and kashira, brown braid bound hilt with bronze triple chrysanthemum head menuki, the wood saya with leather jungle cover with laced top and press-stud strap. Grey patching to blade, with numerous nicks to the edge. Some bruising to leather scabbard. Generally in good used condition. The press-stud strap does not quite reach the stud.
A Japanese Wakizashi, with 39.5cm hand forged steel blade, one piece brass habaki, pierced iron tsuba and parcel gilt bronze fuchi decorated with figures, later rubber bound grip and black lacquer saya, 60cm. Nicks to edge of blade with bend to the tip. Dirty condition. Tsuba rusty. Later binding to hilt, lacks kashira. Unable to remove hilt fittings to view tang. Saya is split along the sides.
