The enameled roman numeral face of the clock is signed J. Smith Keighley and surround by hand painted pastoral scenes, supported by a flame mahogany case with a locking shaped panel door. AN EXEMPLARY FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE COMMODE WITH BRONZE MOUNTS20th CenturyThe shaped black marble with white veins and bold Du Pont edge is supported by a conforming body of mahogany with rosewood inlaid in a basket weave pattern. The commode has an allover scene of cherubs playing among the ormolu vines which create an arch in the center of the commode front. The upper drawers features ormolu dove form pulls and the lower locking drawer features a large two handled ormolu urn supported by a palmetto form on the shaped apron. The corners feature putti among C-scrolls and perched on stumpy trees which terminate in paw form sabots on all four legs.Condition: Frame stable. Tiny scratches to marble. Sevres” is surrounded by 18 hand painted cameos of ladies of the Court, some with their names painted beneath. A FRENCH BRONZE DORE AND BLANC DE CHINE THREE PIECE CLOCK GARNITURE19th CenturyStamped 1855 Medaille d` Argent , Vicenti et Cie and “4951”, “51”. An enameled clock face with Arabic numbers sits behind a domed crystal cover with a ring of crystal beads which is supported by an open pagoda form body comprised of cast acanthus leaves and the roof a grouping swagged, graduated crystal beads. The supports of acanthus vines and allover white porcelain florettes of various species. Within the pagoda is a blanc de chine porcelain scene of seated and standing gesticulating Chinese figures having tea on a rocky mound or pleasure boat among turbulent waves. All raised on acanthus scroll feet. The companion pair of two light candelabrum are similar open pagoda style flanked by pairs of upward arching arms with bobeche and cast floral candlecups. Within one pagoda is a blanc de chine scholar seated on a recumbent buck and the other a scholar seated on a recumbent elephant.Condition: Overall very good. A LOUIS XVI BRONZE DORÉ AND MARBLE CLOCK GARNITURECirca 1880, Le Faucheur, H. ger DU ROY signed on faceThe gilt bronze torch and quiver tied to a laurel wreath with a bow and trailing ribbons is supported by an alabaster clock body with an enameled clock face with domed cover featuring both Roman and Arabic numerals. The rear large mechanism cover conceals the clock plate that is stamped “417” and engraved “3731” and “7/9/81”. The clock is supported by fluted columns and flanked with cast cornucopia-form gilt bronze mounts and a stepped plinth featuring foliate mounts and raised on gadrooned feet. A pair of nine-light gilt bronze candelabras each with a bouquet of roses held aloft by a pair of finely cast gilt bronze maidens. Each candlecup is a rose and part of the bouquet. All raised on stepped alabaster plinths in scale with the clock.Condition: lacks key. Includes pendulum.
