A neo-classical tortoiseshell, ivory and gilt bronze 'Pendule au Cercle Tournants' vase clock, early 19th century, with ovoid ivory and pique work finial, gilt bronze grotesque mask handles, foliate carved ivory mounts and square tortoiseshell and gilt bronze pedestal with turned feet, the timepiece movement with platform lever escapement, 14½in. (36.8cm.) high.* Condition: Winds and runs - has a matched key. Very original overall and no evidence of any significant restoration - has surface dirt and mellowing to gilt throughout. Some faults as follows:- Crack and chip missing to ivory at base of vase 'cover' and a small piece has been off and reattached in this area.- 1in piece of tortoiseshell veneer below this has been off and glued back and there are two cracks through the tortoiseshell above this (below the finial) which have been filled. - Similar crack to ivory on base and one tiny' bead' from the top edge of ivory here is missing. - Crack and old glue residue to tortoiseshell collar at joint between vase and base.- Vertical crack to tortoiseshell to LH side of base.- The main tortoiseshell veneers to the body and rest of the base are in good condition. - Probable good brazed repair to top of one handle, which has been well executed but has left a copper tone to the metal.

A fine Chinese bronze tripod food vessel or censer of archaic form - Ding, probably Ming dynasty, imitating a Shang original, the body cast with three panels with taotie masks and kui dragons against a leiwen ground, separated by simulated strapwork, the vessel raised on three slightly tapered cylindrical feet and the flattened mouth rim surmounted by two arched handles, with dark brown and green patination throughout, residue and encrustation to interior, 13½in. (34.3cm.) high, the rim 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diameter.

DEGAS, EDGAR (1834-1917), Bronze: "Petite danseuse de quatorze ans" (Originaltitel; "Kleine Tänzerin von vierzehn Jahren"), Bronze auf Marmorpostament. Auf einem querrechteckigem Postament stehendes Mädchen mit hinter dem Rücken verschränkten Händen; der rechte Fuß ist seitlich vorgestellt, der Kopf leicht nach hinten geneigt und die Augen sind nahezu geschlossen. Posthumer Guss / Reduktionskopie nach der ursprünglich in Wachs gefertigten und naturalistisch bemalten Tänzerin, die Degas als einzige seiner plastischen Arbeiten zu Lebzeiten ausstellte; hellbraune Patina mit goldfarbenen Akzentuierungen. Auf der Plinthe vertiefte Künstlerbezeichnung und Gießeremblem (bez. "J. B. Deposee - Bronze Garanti - Paris"). H. 38,5 cm.

MAIER, LOTHAR (Maler und Bildhauer, geb. 1950 in Melle, lebt und arbeitet in Osnabrück), Skulptur / sculpture: "Ikarus", Bronze gegossen, grün patiniert und teils vergoldet; auf würfelförmigem Marmorpostament mit montierter Bronzeplakette, darauf monogrammiert "LH", signiert "Lothar Maier" und mit Exemplarnummer 'EA'. Stilisierte stehende männliche Figur in gelängten Proportionen mit seitlich angelegten Armen, Schulterstück, Kopfbedeckung in der Art eines hochgeschobenen Visiers sowie abnehmbaren und durchbrochen gearbeiteten Flügeln. H. 52 cm. Werke im öffentlichen Raum, z . B. die Skulptur "Lebensfreude" von 2004 am Anfang der Fußgängerzone in der Mühlenstraße in Osnabrück.

KRAUTWALD, JOSEPH (Borkenstadt / Oberschlesien 1914-2003 Rheine), Relief: "Musikanten / Singendes Mädchen und Flöte spielender Knabe", nach einer auf einer Kathmandu-Reise beobachteten Szene, Bronze, gearbeitet als Hochrelief in der charakteristischen expressiven Marnier des Künstlers, der bei Josef Thorak in München und Karl Albiker in Dresden studierte. Besonders sein Frühwerk war beeinflusst durch die Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz und Ernst Barlach. Hellbraun patinierte Bronze mit goldfarbenen Akzentuierungen; unsigniert. H. 27,5 x B. 23 x T. 4,5 cm.

A Chinese bronze twin handled censer or incense burner of rectangular form with square section legs, bearing six character Xuande 1426-1435 mark to base, height 8.5cm, length 17cm. weight 1.1kg. Provenance - private collection. Werner, Selmar: Portraitbüste des Malers Hans Unger Portraitbüste des Malers Hans Unger. Bronze, schwarzgrün patiniert. H. 61,5 cm. Im Sockel mit dem Giessersignet und Datum "Guss A. Milde & C. Dresden (19)03.", sowie signiert "S. Werner". Der aus einer Thüringer Bauernfamilie stammende Selmar Werner begann seine Tätigkeit als Kunstschnitzer und Stuckbildner, zunächst in Berlin, wo er auch schon erste Modellierstudien bei Eduard Lürssen schuf. In Hamburg bildete er sich bei Richard Thiele fort und kam so im Herbst 1892 an die Dresdner Akademie, wo er unter anderem mit Ernst Barlach und Richard Suhr zusammen studierte. Ab 1894 war er Meisterschüler bei Robert Diez. Schon während seiner Studienzeit erhielt er zahlreiche Auszeichnungen. Im Jahre 1898 gründete er schließlich eine eigene Bildhauerwerkstatt und wurde 1906 Hudlers Nachfolger an der Dresdner Akademie und später Inhaber des Meisterateliers für Bildhauerei. Um 1900 schuf er eine Reihe von Bildnisbüsten zeitgenössischer Künstler, so auch die hier vorliegende Büste mit dem Bildnis des für seine "arkadischen Frauen" berühmten Dresdner Jugendstilmalers und Symbolisten Hans Unger (1872-1936), der von seinen Zeitgenossen gelegentlich als der letzte Dresdner Malerfürst bezeichnet wurde. Von dieser Büste ist lediglich ein weiterer Abguss in der Skulpturensammlung Dresden (Inv. Nr. ZV 2221) bekannt, bei der Hintergrund des unteren Teils mit der den Pinsel haltenden Hand wohl zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt vergoldet wurde. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Dresden. Literatur: vgl.
