A rare set of Nott`s Yeomanry medals, comprising the gold medal and the silver medal with Green Dale Oak to obverse, and George III MDCCCII to reverse, together with the bronze medallion for Long Service and good conduct, presented in a sitted box with Nott`s Yeomanry carved to lid These medals were presented by Lord Newark to the officers and men of the Nottingham Troop of Yeomanry previous to the disembodiement of the regiment. Those of the officers were gold, and the non-commissioned officers and privates were silver.

An Oriental bronze inkstand in the form of a slender Chinese dragon-boat standing on four clawed feet, the open hull with lines of stylised lotus leaves which contains the two semi-circular lidded sections for glass wells, separated by a pen rack and incised with Chinese symbols, 14½in. (37cm.) long.

(3.7cm.) blade stamped `Thos. Ibbotson & Co. Sheffield`, both the blade and rosewood adjustment block incised `12`, 9½in. (24cm.) long.

A Victorian gilt bronze novelty cockatoo inkwell by Messenger & Sons, Birmingham the cockatoo perched on a branch with its head turned to one side, with blue glass eyes and hinged head concealing the porcelain inkwell, the underside of the tail with maker`s plaque dated 1860, 6¼in. (16cm.) high.

Four early 19th century shaped circular papier maché dishes with openwork gilt bronze swing handles, two with bases bearing the impressed mark of Jennens & Bettridge, two of the deep dishes with wide everted rims are well painted with peacocks in garden settings and fine gilding, one on a shaded gold lacquer ground, the other apple green, the centre of the third painted with flowers and the broad edge with four floral paintings surrounded by foliate gilding on a black ground, the three approx.10in. (25cm.) diameter, the fourth, a green shallow tray with central flower painting and the flat rim with gilded vines, 10 3/8in. (26.5cm.) diameter. (4) See Illustration.

Allectus (293-96), AE Antoninianus, London, radiate, cuirassed bust right, imp c allectvs p f avg, rev. adventvs avg, Allectus on horseback advancing to left, ml in ex. (RIC - ; Shiel - ), apparently unrecorded, good fine The adventvs avg type is known only in gold for Allectus and usually has a prone captive beneath the horse. This coin omits the captive so it seems to have been struck from dies prepared for a bronze issue. This coin is the first recorded for this type.
