A 19th Century Ormolu & Bronze Mantel Clock cast on the form of a cherub riding a chariot drawn by a dragon. The brown patinated winged cherub with billowing scarf sat upon a gilded Rococo style scrolling chariot; the wheel being the clock dial with wrythen rosette to the centre encircled by an enamelled chapter ring of Arabesque numerals. The back of the chariot emblazoned with French Royal crest, and pulled by a writhing dark patinated dragon. The gilded Rococo base rested with scrolling foliage, 11 ins (28 cms) high, 14 ins (36 cms) in length.
