A 19th century Continental gilt bronze covered urn, decorated with glass jewels, masks and wasps, standing on a marble plinth, together with a gilt bronze and porcelain Serves style standish, decorated with a cockerel, the bowl standing on four dolphin feet, lion mask handles, a/f, the urn 11in. (28cm.) high. (2) * Condition: Urn in good condition with three jewels missing and some minor paint wear. Dish with chip on upper rim and one ormolu handle detached.
A Chinese antique bronze wine vessel, of p'ou form, contracted at the mouth with a plain rim, the body with taotie, flying phoenix and geometric bands of decoration, the slightly splayed foot with stylised Greek key fret pattern, the shoulder with four loose ring handles suspended on beast mask mounts, the base with four character mark enclosed within a three clawed dragon, 8½in. (21.5cm.) high.
A pair of French bronze four light candelabra, late 19th century, in the Pompeiian taste, the tapering reeded columns supporting the faux oil wells issuing tapering urn shaped candle sockets, with gilt chain decoration beneath, the tripod bases cast with anthemion motifs, on paw feet and gilt stepped bases, 24¼in. (61.5cm.) high. (2)
A bronze figure of " The Angler ", stamped to back "Art Union of London 1909", bearing the signature A. Joliveau, early 20th century, standing and wearing a wide brimmed hat, his rod held under his arm, on a hard wood base, 9½in. (24cm.) high, excluding rod & base. * Condition: Bronze in very good condition with good patina, hard wood base edges showing a little wear.
Four antique Indian brass and bronze Lota vessels, varying forms, three with incised lined decoration and one also with engraved calligraphy to shoulder, 4¼in. to 4¾in. (10.75cm. to 12cm.) high; together with a bronze deity figure, 20th century, 4 7/8in. (12.4cm.) high. (5) * Condition: All have been polished. One with split to rim. Another with small dent to widest part of body. Good overall.
A French allegorical bronze figure depicting motherhood, 19th century, the mother in classical gown, seated upon an upholstered stool, her left foot raised upon a buttoned footstool, conversing with a young child, also in robes, mid to dark brown patination, unsigned, impressed '1583', 15½in. (39.5cm.) high. * Condition: Good condition overall, with no damage. Screw or bolt to secure lower part of child figure to the mother is missing, so the lower half of the child figure can be moved a little. Minor rubs to patination on raised areas and a few small scratches and marks to patination in places, including three pinhead spots to mother's face.
An Italian School 19th century bronze figure of a seated cherub/Putto, holding a dove in his left hand, well detailed with flowing curls and feathered wings, sitting upon an oak base, would of originally been part of a bigger group, unmarked, overall height 7½in. (18cm.) high. * Condition: In good condition, left arm with pin from original join to a larger piece.
A Japanese Satsuma jar and cover, Meiji period (1868-1912), earthenware, of slightly flattened, globular form, the four fielded reserves decorated with warriors and seated figures in interiors, on a gilt enriched cobalt blue ground, with black and gilt painted six character mark to base and floral bronze cover, 4in. (10cm.) high. * Condition: No cracks or chips. Some gilt wear. Small dent to top of cover.
A bronze Cape Buffalo skull and horns, James Lippit Clark (American 1883-1957) distinguished explorer, sculptor and scientist, studied at Rhode Island school of design, and trained at the Gorham silver company, inscribed J. L. Clark © ( underneath horn), bronze with green patina, 5¾in. (14.6cm.) long. * Condition: In very good condition, with no faults.
A pair of French patinated bronze and ormolu candlesticks, second half of 19th century, the foliate urn sconces on patinated tapered and reeded columns with gilt acanthus capitals and urn mounts to gilt foliate circular bases, 11¾in. (30cm.) high, later converted to lamps, 16½in. (42cm.) high overall, complete with pale grey pleated silk shades. (2)
A French gilt bronze clock garniture, circa 1900, Rococo style, drum form clock and movement housing encased by scroll and floral pierced decoration, dial with French style Roman numerals, on a circular gilt mask with raised design, eight day Jouffray movement, numbered 3319, 11in. (28cm.) high, with two twin branch candelabra of conforming design, 8in. (20.25cm.) high. (3)
A pair of French ormolu gilt bronze cherub candlesticks, late 19th early 20th century, the cherubs intangled amidst grape vines, sitting on a white marble base with central bronze freize decorated in grape vines, base sitting on three splayed feet, 12½in. (31.8cm.) high, later converted to lamps. (2) * Condition: In good condition, gilt showing some wear, electric conversion aged and will require rewiring prior to use.
Veronica Robinson, bronze sculpture entitled ' Motif ', comes with accompanying artists drawing of a similar sculpture entitled ' Bow wave ' to which Motif was constructed together with a letter stating this, provenance: label to base, exhibition RBA "The Royal Society of British Artists" at the Mall Galleries (the Federation of British Artists) title of work MOTIF, medium Bronze. * Condition: Bronze in very good condition, with good patina.
