1966: 1916 Rising commemoration sculpture of 'The Dying Cúchulainn' by Oliver Sheppard. A bronze sculpture of 'The Dying Cúchulainn' after Oliver Sheppard. Reproduced under licence from The Commissioner of Public Works. The large original sculpture, which commemorates the 1916 Rising, is located in the G.P.O., Dublin. 7.5043 7.50 by 4 by 3in. (19.1 by 10.2 by 7.6cm) In very fine condition. The pronze patinated and quite dark. Lacking the usual green Connemara marble plinth but no evidence of glue or cement residue on base to suggest the figure once had such a plinth.
