Relph), extremely fine together with a St Pancras Infirmary tribute medal, bronze, engraved 'S.P.I. North M. Relph 30th January 1910, a Territorial Force Nursing Service Cape Badge, Guild of Service 1903 badge plus related silver and enamel badge, sold with copied research Staff Nurse Margaret Relph was serving with Territorial Force Nursing Service at 5th Northern General Hospital in Leicester at was later posted for active service overseas during WWI being promoted to Staff Nurse. Post war service saw her in King's Lynn with The Queen's Nursing Service. (6)

R.Ir.Fus.), in card box of issue with Bronze Memorial Plaque 'Edward Meagher', with card envelope, extremely fineBronze Memorial Plaque 'Joseph Meagher', extremely fine with card envelope, the lot includes family research and scanned photographs of the recipients in uniform 10662 Corporal Frederick Joseph Conway was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1893 and was brother-in-law to the Meagher brothers, he served on the Western Front from 19 December 1914, killed in action on 9 July 1917, Conway is commemorated in the Crump Trench British Cemetery, France. 7022 Warrant Officer Edward Meagher was born in Dublin in 1881, served on the Western Front (as John Doyle) from 19 December 1914, died 14 April 1918, Meagher is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. 11294 Private Joseph Meagher born in Dublin 1884, served on the Western Front with the 1st Battalion from 22 August 1914, killed in action on the Somme on 10 October 1916, Meagher is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Belgium. *Medals. Collection of prize medals awarded to Olympic sprinter John W.J. Rinkel, circa 1926-28, comprising six medals (two hallmarked silver and four bronze), all engraved with the recipient's name apart from two for Atalanta Athletics Club 1926, each 52mm diameter John William John Rinkel (1905-1975), was born in the Netherlands and resided in the United Kingdom, he was a Cambridge University graduate and an English sprinter, he competed in the 400m and 4 x 400 relay events at the 1928 Summer Olympics and placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Rinkel won the 400yd Amateur Athletic Association of England (AAA) medlay relay in 1926 and the 4 x 400yd relay in 1928-29 for which the medals are included in the lot. He passed away in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, in 1975. (1)
*Rolls-Royce Showroom Mascot. An excellent interpretation of the Spirit of Ecstasy originally designed by Charles Sykes and registered as a design in 1911. Standing 26 1/2-inches (67cm) high, the nicely patinated lacquered finished bronze statue stands on a circular black marble and lacquered dais, with a signature of the artist positioned at the rear heel. Highly detailed with flowing robes, facial expression and swept-back hair. In good condition. (1)
*The Victory. Chromium-plated on bronze, good feathering detail, no obvious damage, RD 869818 stamped at the rear, possibly an Augustine & Emile Lejeune design, although not stamped as such, mounted on a turned base. Originally offered in the 1922 S. Smith & Son catalogue. Also, a reproduction 'Old Bill' motorcycle mascot and a Kingfisher emblem. (3)
*J. Lucas Ltd Emblem Mascot. Often mistaken as a mascot for Peugeot motor-cars, this well-detailed lion rampant was sponsored by the company in the 1920s and reflects their lion and torch motif then in common use. Created in bronze, nickel-plated with a delightful patina of the type that only age can inflict. Not mounted, 5-inches (12cm) high. (1)
*'Spirit of Serenity' by Charles Sykes (1875-1950). Finished in nickel-silver over bronze, a rare depiction of a nude woman in a standing pose, stamped Charles Sykes at the base of the tall cylindrical dais. A similar design was offered by Louis Betti in France in the early 1920s. Display-mounted, 6-inches (15cm) high (1)

A rare circular bronze plaque awarded to the founder of the Pashley Bicycle Company, engraved on the plaque, 'A symbol of the Courage & Sacrifices displayed by the Birmingham & District Motorcyclists - Who served in HM Forces 1914-1918 - W R Pashley'. Displayed in a glazed case alongside several modern Pashley catalogues. (1)
