Lot 740

RODIN AUGUSTE: (1840-1917) French sculptor. A good, large vintage signed 11 x 14 photograph, the image depicting one of Rodin's sculptures of two entwined human figures, reminiscent of his work The Fall of the Angels which recalls the figures produced by Rodin for his monumental bronze sculptural group within The Gates of Hell. Signed ('Rodin') by the sculptor with his surname only to a light area at the base of the image. An impressive signed image, and quite rare in this larger format. A few light stains and minor age wear to the white borders, some small corner creases and a few very minor tears to the edges, otherwise VG
