Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society bronze medal awarded to Herbet Whittaker for gallantry 1941 CONDITION REPORT: The condition is good and the medal comes with the case. The medal is in the original box of issue and has the ribbon and top suspender bar as per the image. This item does not appear ot have any damage or repair.
A Victorian basket fire-grate, the bronze and brass fire-dogs by William Tonks & Son in the form of lions passant guardant, standing on scrolls and on a turned and leaf decorated plinth, the undersides stamped 'WT & with a sun' and with a Victorian registration lozenge, supporting an iron basket, 33.4cm high, 73.5cm wide, together with two brass fire irons. An early 20th century bronze garden six-light candelabra, of scroll form, surmounted by a pair of classical figures, one blowing a horn, the other with a symbol, the stem cast with a portrait bust of Orlando Gibbons and the date 1583-1625, the reverse with an inscription ' IN MEMORY OF CHRISTOPHER TYE AND ORLANDO GIBBONS CHORISTERS GIVEN BY FRIENDS OF THE CHAPEL 1924', 194.7cm high, 101.3cm wide.
A pair of 19th century gilt and patinated bronze figural candelabra, each in the form of a classical maiden supporting a torchère, issuing three leaf scroll branches, on a rouge marble base decorated with a guilloche band, 82.5cm high (excluding fittings), each standing on an associated late Victorian mahogany and satinwood pedestal, inlaid with a pair of griffins flanking an urn, with ribbon tied husks and a further vase, 119.3cm high.
