His preference was for life study works of people and animals but he deviated to other subjects to satisfy all tastes. Using the foundation of his original designs, his legacy lives on through his wife and daughter, Joy and Jayne, who continue to add to the portfolio of sculptures. As a team they have undertaken a wide range of commissions and the sculpture of the late Lord Montagu, which graces the entrance to the Beaulieu Motor Museum, is attributed to them.

Size: 3" (8cms) High, Base: 6"x 3" (15 x 8cms). Its condition is not bad, the paint has worn off in many places but there is no substantial damage to the pottery itself that we can see. Lot 266

Quite the survivor, an ex-South African 'Suffix G' that was in great shape, with history, even before our enthusiast-vendor fully recommissioned it. Now ready to enjoy. The car presented here is 1980 Suffix G Range Rover that was delivered new to South Africa, being assembled at the Leyland Blackheath plant, outside of Cape Town prior to being sold by Eloff Leyland to Mr C.F De Langue of Florida Panel Beaters in Johannesburg, bearing the registration number CVL 767T. Today, remarkably, it’s still accompanied by its original logbook, in the name of Mr De Langue, the original owner’s manual and sales brochure, plus historical service records (with all ten 5,000km service intervals stamped up to the last available page at 50,000km). The logbook (and an inspection) confirms it as a matching numbers example. It has now been imported into the UK and registered as KVO 975V; obviously, being a historical vehicle, it is tax and MOT exempt, but nevertheless, our vendor fastidiously obtained an advisory-free MOT in December 2023 for provenance and peace of mind. After driving KVO regularly for 6 months, he commissioned a comprehensive programme of work, costing £15,000+, including a colour change from the original Burnt Orange to Bahama Gold. The restoration process has been photographically and financially documented and all the receipts are available. The vehicle was fully stripped back to the shell and pleasingly, the chassis appeared to be in perfect condition and required no welding. The chassis and frame were then prepared, rust-proofed, primed and re-painted. At considerable cost, a full set of new rubber seals were purchased and fitted all around (windscreen, windows, doors, tailgate), as well as new quarter-light frames, rear light and front side light clusters, door mirrors and petrol cap. The vehicle’s interior was then sound-proofed using Dodo Mat insulation and the vehicle was professionally resprayed in Bahama Gold (LRC 235) using 2K paint. The interior has been completely replaced with all new parts imported including herringbone cloth seat covers all round, a full set of bronze carpets, Palomino door cards, arm rests, rear panels, B and C pillar trims, front footwell side trims and the Hardura spare wheel and tool-roll covers. The original dash top was badly cracked, so a replacement dash top in perfect condition was purchased from Suffix Matters costing £575.A new headlining was sourced locally, and the interior now presents in as new condition. A CD/radio is fitted in the correct place and correctly wired. The vendor has not fitted speakers in the new door cards, preferring to appreciate the hum of the V8. Being a South Africa-assembled vehicle, this example comes with working, factory-fitted AC.Mechanically, the vehicle has always been kept in excellent running condition, with maintenance records dating from 1980-1983 and from 2014-2024. The car has been fully serviced, the twin Stromberg carburettors have been professionally rebuilt and a new starter motor, battery, brake master cylinder, and a reconditioned alternator have been installed. The engine runs beautifully, the gearbox is as precise as it can be for a Range Rover Classic, and the brakes and clutch operate perfectly. The vehicle has been exclusively garaged by the vendor at his homes in Cape Town and the UK, and is now offered for sale in exceptional, turn-key condition.  Specification Make: LAND ROVER Model: RANGE ROVER SUFFIX G Year: 1979 Chassis Number: 6066AA35756612 Registration Number: KVO 975V Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 35536472F Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 62283 KM Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 251

**Please note for clarity the car has an ‘untouched underside’ and no restoration work has been done since its import. It retains its original GT-R mats and most of the standard original parts will be in the boot/included in the sale. The Rays wheels were on the car upon purchase and in our vendors ownership, all work has been undertaken by J A Kit and Customs with the exception of MOTs.** Simply put, this R34 is JDM royalty. Possibly the most iconic car from the modern classic era, immortalised in film franchises and rightfully adored by all. With mechanical upgrades and JDM goodies galore, this R34 is running c.550bhp, yet looks undeniably OEM+. Offered directly from ‘The Well Timed' Collection. The Skyline R34 GT-R is highly revered by all, whether a JDM aficionado or not, one cannot deny their presence and popularity in the car world. Standing as arguably the most iconic Japanese performance car in history. Whilst many of the PlayStation generation may have first experienced the drama of the R34 GT-R V-Spec through Gran Turismo, it was its appearance in the Fast and Furious franchise that led to an explosion in global popularity for the R34 GT-R, with the late Paul Walker driving one in 2 Fast 2 Furious, enhancing its almost cult status. But it was in the 'real' world where the R34 GT-R V-Spec would cement its reputation. Described by Evo magazine as 'A warrior-class performer' in its 2007 road test, where a standard R34 GT-R was pitted against the likes of the McLaren F1, Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F40 and Bugatti Veyron, the GT-R’s reputation as a class act remained intact. While the R34 may not be able to claim the original 'Godzilla' title, as that remains with the R32 GT-R, the newcomer certainly carried the torch, and arguably the R34 GT-R has become the most iconic and most recognised car ever to emerge from Japan, especially in their late 1990s golden era. The R33 GT-R was a very good car, but many found it to be too bulky in design and too heavy to be a worthy successor to the R32 GT-R, which the R34 sought to rectify and did so with flying colours. Released with a shorter, sharper design and the performance to match, it’s safe to say the bite truly matches the bark. The car featured aggressive new styling, a stiffer bodyshell and a reworked version of the bulletproof and highly modifiable RB26DETT twin-turbo inline-six under the bonnet, mated to an all-new Getrag 6-speed gearbox and transfer case, although the electronically-controlled Super HICAS rear-wheel steering system was retained. Unlike some other performance cars of the 1990s, Nissan did not neglect the braking system and fitted Brembo brakes with 300mm vented discs. For a car released in 1999, the R34 came crammed full of technology meaning it was well ahead of its time. It featured a 5.8" LCD multifunction display in the dashboard, showing seven different live readings of engine and vehicle statistics such as boost pressure, oil/water temperature and throttle percentage among others. The V-Spec was introduced in October 1999, just nine months after the launch of the R34 Series I, making it an almost immediate upgrade over the standard car. While the Series I was a fantastic car, the improvements were thorough and ensured the V-Spec and V-Spec II cars are even more desirable. Changes for the V-Spec included an improved suspension system, featuring stiffer springs and dampers, Brembo brakes as standard, lighter forged aluminium wheels allowing wider tires, an active Limited Slip Differential and an improved aero package with a front lip spoiler and carbon fibre rear wing.Arguably the black sheep of 'The Well Timed' Collection, this R34 is simply phenomenal. Of the 11,578 R34 GT-Rs produced, just 1,238 of them were Bayside Blue (TV2) V-Spec Is, and this is surely one of the finest examples to reach the open market. This R34 GT-R V-Spec I presents in simply exceptional condition and has been maintained religiously throughout its eight-year UK ownership. Within the history file there is every MOT since its 2015 import and a whole host of Japanese paperwork including the original service pack, featuring an abundance of rarely kept Japanese maintenance paperwork, original Skyline instruction manual and three sets of keys. Additionally, there is paperwork documenting its upgrades whilst in Japan including the ¥915,000 (c.£5,000) sheet of fitted JDM upgrades including HKS, NISMO and Apexi parts amongst others, as well as their accompanying sales sheets. The bulk of the UK servicing has been undertaken by J A Kit & Customs, as well as by our enthusiast vendor. Our vendor wanted the car to be the best of the best, whilst retaining OEM/OEM+ aesthetics and fitted a host of upgrades including bronze Rays CE28 wheels, electronically adjustable Tein coil-over suspension, NISMO sway bars, an HKS turbo timer, new turbos, a Link G4 ECU and a host of undetectable mechanical upgrades (summary sheet provided in history file), which allowed marque specialist tuner, Martin Battye, to extract well over 500bhp from the wonderful RB26.With the way that R34 GT-R prices have skyrocketed comfortably into the six-figure department in recent years, this cherished, uprated, Bayside Blue example is surely the last chance to acquire such a desirable car for reasonable money, especially considering the 25-year import rule has now legalised the import of this car into the USA.Sympathetically upgraded to OEM+ specification, this GT-R looks, drives and is exactly what you’d wish a GT-R to be. They say don’t meet your heroes, but if you’re going to, you’d struggle to find a better R34 GT-R hero than this one, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.SpecificationMake: NISSANModel: SKYLINE R34 GT-R V-SPEC IYear: 1999Chassis Number: BNR34004637Registration Number: T84 GTRTransmission: ManualEngine Number: RB26-DETTDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 92000 KMMake: RHDInterior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images

Lot 217

**Please note the car is not fitted with the dog ring gearbox but a CAE short shifter kit fitted by Pro Alfa. **A smart example of Abarth's ultimate FIAT 500 development, the 190bhp 695 Biposto optioned with the £8,500 'Dog Ring' gearbox. In recent years, Abarth has essentially become to FIAT what Alpina is to BMW; a high-performance 'skunkworks' division that takes something good and makes it great. Based on the cute and much-loved 500, the Abarth 500 came first, then the 595 Competizione and finally, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, they launched the 695 Biposto. The Biposto designation comes from the Italian for 'two seats', indicating its focus on performance. The car has gained notoriety for its unique and engaging driving experience and one of its key features was the phenomenally expensive optional 'Dog Ring' gearbox, developed by Bacci Romano. The 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine was lifted straight from Abarth’s 695 Assetto Corsa race car, with a 10bhp power increase over the Abarth 500 and 595 to 190bhp and 184lb/ft of torque. Fitted with an Akrapovic dual-stage exhaust with twin titanium tailpipes, 0-60mph takes just 5.9 seconds on the way to 143mph, retardation is provided by high-performance Brembo brakes and stability is assisted by a mechanical self-locking diff.Visually, the Biposto has a distinctive look with a large rear spoiler, carbon front and rear diffusers, lightweight OZ 18" alloy wheels, a new front bumper, wider arches and new side-skirts. Buyers could have it in any colour they like, as long as it was Matte Performance Grey. The car is incredibly light, weighing in at 974kg dry with the interior being somewhat spartan, with a tiny hint of luxury. It features leather and Alcantara Sabelt Abarth Corsa racing bucket seats with 695 stitching, optional carbon shells, a titanium rear brace by Poggipolini and carbon fibre door panels. No radio or air conditioning with the focus on saving weight. This 2016 example presents incredibly well, arguably even better than new, due to its recently reupholstered interior and is thankfully fitted with the all-important Dog Ring gearbox. It has covered a mere 16,200 miles from new in the hands of its three owners and comes with a full-service history, with another service undertaken to prepare it for sale, along with a fresh MOT. The car is fully ceramic-coated with its callipers re-coloured to the Biposto 220 branding. It’s finished in the usual Matte Grey paintwork with Lime Green details and bronze wheels. The interior has been fabulously upgraded with tan leather seats, the gear shift surround, door cards and carpets and these features make this little pocket-rocket stand out for all the right reasons, as if the £8,500 gearbox wasn’t already enough of a standout feature.Having partaken in just two half-day track sessions, our vendor has shamelessly been bitten by the track day bug and with the Biposto’s bigger Italian brother having already arrived, it is time for the Abarth to find its next home.Presumably due to cost, only a small number ever left the factory with this amazing gearbox, making it a sought after collector's item. So seldom seen in the UK, with examples fetching comfortably north of £35,000 globally, this very attractively priced little Italian jewel could be a fun addition for any Collection or enthusiast.SpecificationMake: ABARTHModel: 695 BIPOSTOYear: 2016Chassis Number: ZFA3120000J375297Registration Number: AP16 ZYFTransmission: ManualEngine Number: 1960160Drive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 16200 MilesMake: RHDInterior Colour: Tan LeatherClick here for more details and images
