Laurence Stephen Lowry RA RBA LG NS, British 1887-1976- The Lowry family; three colour reproduction prints entitled "The Artist's Mother", "The Artist's Father" and "Self-Portrait", published on the occasion of the artist's 88th birthday; ea. signed in black pen, ea. no. 99 from an edition of 300, 37x27cm (unframed): together with a bronze medallion of Lowry by Leo Solomon, signed, inscribed, numbered 99/300 and dated 75, 12.5cm, (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Note: the original presentation boxes and packaging as issued accompany this lot CONDITION REPORT: the prints are housed in the original, lined presentation box with original printed sheet listing details the box has some slight wear commensurate with age, but is in overall good condition the lower left hand corner of each print is grubby, with minor marking elsewhere on the sheets the edges of each sheet are slightly yellowing foxing to the reverse of "Self-Portrait", some very minor foxing to the reverse of "The Artist's Mother" and "The Artist's Father" the prints are otherwise in good condition the bronze medallion is housed in separate original, lined presentation box with engraved plaque attached inside certificate of authentication is in the box the bronze medallion bears Morris Singer foundry mark, verso in very good condition the prints and the medallion both come in the same original cardboard packaging
Anya Gallaccio, British b.1963- Acorn; bronze, boxed, 3x1.5cm: together with one other work by the same hand entitled "Absolute Gallaccio" in coloured resin with letters in the shape of an ice cube, in printed box, dated 2001 on the box, 3.5x4.5x4.2cm, (2) (unframed, boxed) (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Provenance: Sandy and David Orr, & Donald MacDonald, 'Arts Opening Party', at Millbank Lounge, City Inn Westminster, 2003: Absolute Vodka art project, The Design Museum, 24th January 2001. CONDITION REPORT: Both items in original packaging. Acorn comes in a box with printed material from the event. The box for the acorn has 757 written on the outside of it in pencil, but no indication if this is an edition number. The acorn is resting on black tissue, and the typed details on a sheet with an embossed oak leaf. It is in very good condition, bar a few scuffs on the exterior of the box. The ice cube resin piece is in a dark brown box with silver printed details on the lid. The box is a little dirty on the underside. The ice cube is in very good condition.
