Barye gilt neben Pierre-Jules Mene als der bedeutendste Animalier / Tierbildhauer Frankreichs des 19. Der figürliche Bildhauer Altenstein studierte an der Akademie in Stuttgart, war wissenschaftlicher Assistent an der TU Braunschweig und von 1975 bis 2009 Professor an der Hochschule für Künste Bremen. KRAUTWALD, JOSEPH (Borkenstadt / Oberschlesien 1914-2003 Rheine), 4 Reliefs, jeweils Bronze, hellbraun patiniert: "Der barmherzige Samariter" (H. 15,4 x B. 8,3 x T. 1,5 cm), "Schutzmantelmadonna" (H. 15 x B. 5,8 x T. 1,5 cm), "Fußwaschung" (nach Joh 13,1-11, partiell grün oxidiert; H. 11,9 x B. 7,3 x T. 1,3 cm) und "Die Spinnerin" (H. 12 x B. 6,3 x T. 0,8 cm. Die Reliefs in der charakteristischen, expressiv-blockhaften Manier des Rheinenser Künstlers gearbeitet, der bei Josef Thorak in München und Karl Albiker in Dresden studierte. Besonders sein Frühwerk war beeinflusst durch die Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz und Ernst Barlach.
CANTRÉ, JOZEF (Gent 1890-1957 ebd.), Skulptur: "Femme Nue" / "Sinnende" - weiblicher Akt, Bronze, hellbraun patiniert, vertieft signiert "JOZEF CANTRÉ". Stehender weiblicher Akt als Dreiviertelfigur, die linke Hand auf die erhobene rechte Schulter gelegt und den zur Seite gewandten Kopf zur Schulter geneigt. Posthumer, neuzeitlicher Guss. Cantré zählt zu den bedeutendsten Bildhauern der Moderne in Belgien; er gilt als Begründer des sogenannten flämischen Expressionismus. H. 39 cm.
BARÓN, FRANCISCO (Francisco Baron, Madrid 1932-2006), Skulptur: "Pegasus und Reiter", Bronze, grün und goldfarben patiniert, Messingsockel mit gravierter Szene "Pegasus und Minotaurus", signiert "Barón", limitiert 18/100 und spanisch bezeichnet "Alina y de fuego". Stilisiert gearbeitete Figurengruppe, die Flügel, die Reiterfigur und das Haar beweglich montiert. Der spanische Bildhauer studierte an der Kunsthochschule San Fernando in Madrid, war Stipendiat in London, Yale und Rhode Island. In den 1970er Jahren arbeitete er bevorzugt multiple bewegliche und umgestaltbare Plastiken aus Metall und Holz. Gesamtmaße H. 34 x L. 40 x B. 39 cm (Sockel mit Oxidationsspuren). Naturalistisch gearbeitete Skulpturengruppe des Münchener Animaliers / Tierbildhauers Diller, der u. a. auch für die Porzellanmanufakturen Rosenthal (von 1913 bis 1927) oder Nymphenburg und für WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik Geislingen) entwarf. H. 57 x L. 85,5 x B. 18 cm (Patina partiell berieben).

Besonders sein Frühwerk war beeinflusst durch die Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz und Ernst Barlach. Bronzerelief: H. 21 x B. 12,3 x T. 1 cm; Zinkgussrelief: H. 52,5 x B. 28,5 x T. 1,5 cm.
POERTZEL, OTTO (Scheibe-Alsbach 1876-1963 Coburg), Skulptur: "Fasane", Bronze, dunkelbraun patiniert, auf dem ovalen Naturstand vertieft signiert "Prof. Poertzel" und mit Gießerei-Bezeichnung "Kraas Berlin". Naturalistische Darstellung dreier Fasane mit reicher Gefiederzeichnung auf Terrainplinthe und Marmorpostament. Poertzel, der an den Weltausstellungen in Saint Louis 1904 und in Brüssel 1910 teilnahm, arbeitete Portraitbüsten, aber auch plastischen Bauschmuck und Gartenskulpturen und war als Tierplastiker vor allem für seine Darstellung von Fasanen und Wildvögeln bekannt. H. 34 x L. 96 x B. 24 cm.
MENE, PIERRE-JULES (1810-1879), Skulptur: "Jäger mit seinem Hund", Bronze, auf dem Stand vertieft signiert J. P. Mene; Marmorplinthe. Auf ovaler und gekehlter Terrainplinthe mit Blättern und Wurzeln ein von einem Jäger mit Hirschfänger und Eichenzweig geführter Hund bei der Fährtensuche. Detailreich und naturalistisch gearbeitete Figurengruppe. Mene gilt neben Barye als der bedeutendste französische Animalier / Tierbildhauer des 19. Jh.; Museumskopie / posthumer Guss.
