Conklin Symetrik pen/pencil combination in Black & Bronze marble. Pen/Pencil combinations came back into vogue in the 1930’s. Many of the 1st tier manufacturers made examples in striking celluloid colours, this Conklin is beautiful example. This pen is in their Symetrik design with rocker clip and lever filler. Overall good condition with some light trim wear and a later replacement 14k nib, and name engraving on barrel. Pen was water tested and filled at time of listing.

Visconti Novelli Augusta 50th anniversary limited edition fountain pen in blue/bronze, new with original box and outer box.The pen was done as a 50th anniversary for the Novelli pen and pipe shop, as a cross between the multisided Montegrappa pens and the beauty of the Waterman Patrician in blue/bronze. The pen was done in a limited edition of just 300 pens (281/300), this example comes with a broad 18k two tone nib and solid gold trim. Overall near mint, the pen is unused with original cellophane and the wood box is pristine. Outer box has some creasing to one end and bending to one flap.

Conklin Endura and Symetrik oversized model fountain pens in Black and Bronze (2). Conklin’s first celluloid pen was the Endura with a rocker clip in a flattop style from the late 1920’s, they later moved to a streamlined Symetrik model pen. Both pens are in Black and Bronze marble with large Conklin nibs. Overall fair to good with some discolouration to the Endura pen, small name engraving present.

Lot 59

Conklin Symetrik style Endura and Spencerian fountain pens in celluloid. Both pens are in striking celluloid, the Endura is a later model in the Symetrik style but marked Endura on the barrel. The pen is in Leaf Green with a fine nib. The second pen is a Spencerian, a Conklin sub-brand, in Green and Bronze with a fine flexible nib. Overall good to excellent condition, the Endura has little to no wear wear. The Spencerian has some discolouration and brassing to the trim. Pens were water tested and filled at time of listing.

Lot 252

Grieshaber flattop oversized pens (3) and pencil, 4 size pens (2) and pastel painted ring top pen. Grieshaber made fountain pens from 1884 until around 1940. They were well known for their dip pens and nibs. Their early celluloid pens like the flattops in this lot were made on the same level as the big fountain pen names of their era with large nibs and vibrant patterns. The lot consists of oversized flattops in Black and Bronze, Black and Pearl and Jade along with a matching pencil in Black and Bronze. With these comes a Jade 4 size pen, Green and Bronze 4 size ring top pen and damaged pastel hand painted ring top pen. Overall mixed condition, some pens with chips or cracks present to caps.

Conklin Endura flattop pens (3) and Symetrik style pen. The lot consists of a Lapis pen with clip, Lapis pen with missing ring top, Black/Bronze pen with missing ring top and Jet Symetrik style pen with clip. Overall fair to good condition.

Bear inkwell in Austrian Bronze in Black Forest style. This figural inkwell opens with the help of the Bear's pierced nose, a wonderful piece. Overall good condition, glass insert missing.

Wahl 6 size black hard rubber desk pen with calendar and desk blotter corners. This is a wonderful bronze desk base by Silvercrest of a couple on their horse with dogs running with them, it comes with a matching calendar and corners for a desk blotter. Overall good condition, the pen in fair condition given the discolouration to the rubber. It has a large Wahl 6 14k flexible nib.

Omas Milord Arco fountain pen with box and outer box. The Arco bronze Omas pens are like no other, many brands have tried to imitate Omas when the colour came out in the 1930's and then again in the later half of the 20th century. A large, multisided pen with roller clip and glorious Arco celluloid. Overall near mint, the pen appears to be uninked and has a broad 18k nib. The inside of the box is peeling, while the outer box is in good condition.

Babe Ruth Diamond Point fountain pen in blue/bronze. These Diamond Point pens were made and sold as Babe Ruth models with a copy of his signature on the barrel and a baseball on the top of the cap. Often found in black or other solid colours, this blue/bronze example is uncommon. Overall fair condition with some trim wear, plated 8 nib. Pen was water tested and filled at time of listing.
