Das Å’uvre des Bildhauers Jürgen Ebert beeindruckt durch die Vielfalt seiner bildhauerischen Techniken, Themen und Formen. Nach einer Ausbildung zum Bildhauer in Oberammergau studierte er an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste, München. Er kann auf eine Vielzahl an Ausstellungen, u.a. auf der Art Basel, zurückblicken. Seine Großplastiken stehen in niederländischen, belgischen und zahlreichen deutschen Städten, u.a. in Dortmund und Essen. Bereits 1979 schuf Ebert die ersten organischen abstrakten Formen. Die vorliegende Skulptur bildet einen Übergang hin zu eigenständigen abstrakten Formen. Der Künstler selbst schreibt über die drehbaren Bronzen aus dieser Zeit: „Aus dem Ursprünglichen wächst, sich drehend, ein weiblicher Torso als Synonym der Wiedergeburt und Schöpfung, nicht endend in der Gegenständlichkeit, sondern in einer im Kreis verlaufenden Form der Unendlichkeit“ (www.juergen-ebert.com/portfolio/abstrakteobjekte).
