Cynthia Moran Killeavy CÚCHULAINN, AN IRISH LEGEND bronze resin on engraved corten steel base signed on reverse 28 by 12 by 9.50in. (71.12 by 30.48 by 24.13cm) Dimensions of base, 43.5 by 15.75 by 12ins. Resin bronze was sculptured in the late 1980s, cast in Madrid in 2011. The corten steel base is engraved with an image of the Tara Brooch. Cynthia Moran Killeavy was born in Co. Kildare, a sister of Frances Bunch Moran, painter (1928-2002). She attended evening classes at the National College of Art, Dublin and later studied sculpture at St. Martin`s College of Art, London. Since 1964 she has been based in Madrid, exhibiting regularly in group shows both in Spain and Ireland. (£1,620-£2,430 approx)

Midland Railway Badge `STEWARD Midland RAILy BALL` with blue ribbon, enamel bar at top with the word `STEWARD`, and the main body having a porcelain image of a red tender locomotive, a scroll with the text in blue backed enamel above and finally an enamel Wyvern above that having a maroon background. Makers name `Kenning & Son, London on rear. Quite superb condition but the ribbon has through time, become a tiny bit worn. Together with a superb little bronze Midland Railway Rifle Club Medallion with the Wyvern dominating the front and the word `MARKSMAN` on the obverse. To complete this, there is a LMS WW2 enamel Railway Service Badge and an LMS Certificate for service through the General Strike. The badges belonged to the vendor`s grandfather, the certificate to his grandmother. A very nice, family collection.

HST Nameplate Plaque ex 43142. Bronze construction with centrepiece being the Virgin Mary & Child within the peripheral inscription `S. Mariae Nosocom Paddington Londin` and also top and bottom respectively `Restituuntur` and `Sicilium`. Measures 9¾" in diameter the rear is drilled and tapped with 5 mounting holes (one hole still has an original bolt in place) The Power Car was named on the 4th November 1986 at Paddington by Sir Roger Bannister, the first sub 4 minute mile runner and former student at the Hospital. The original nameplates were alloy but replaced with stainless steel reflective types at a later date. Much research has only produced one photograph showing the plaque which was never painted. It is in `as removed` condition from the Bristol Trimming shop where it received preparation for a repaint at St Philip`s Marsh.
