The Titanic promotional launch plate was intended to be fitted to the dashboard of Senior 'White Star Line' directors, crew members and financiers, with attractive mermaid design, rectangular in shape, an interesting memento of this ill-fated ship.

French gilt brass mercury mantel clock. The movement by Samuel Marti et Cie, Paris, late 19th century. The eight-day gong striking movement with visible Brocot escapement regulated by twin mercury capsule pendulum. The back plate stamped with S. Marti et Cie Medaille de Bronze in an oval cartouche, nr 4073. The clock having a white enamel face with Roman numeral dial with a shallow centre housing the winding holes. The clock encased by bevel doors and side panels approx 15.5 x 13.5 x 27 h cms, complete with winding key.

A Chinese Longquan celadon pierced tripod incense burner, Ming DynastyLater converted to an inkwell, of slightly tapering cylindrical form, moulded and carved with three lotus flowerheads against a pierced scrolling foliate ground, raised on three short feet and covered in a pale green glaze, a later bronze cover with hinged top surmounted by a seated chinaman, opening to a plain glass liner, 10.5cm high (feet chipped).Footnote: Footnote: A very similar incense burner was offered in Bonhams New Bond Street rooms, 8 November 2004, lot 98.Condition report: Two of the three feet are chipped. The glass inkwell liner is chipped to the rim.

A Chinese bronze vase, Hu, Ming style but probably laterWith twin dragon-head handles and cast with two bands of daotie masks and symbols, the domed foot with a cast band of waves, fitted for conversion to a table lamp, 32.5cm high.Condition report: 1/3 of the foot appears to have been repaired visibly. Elsewhere there is surface pitting consistent with age, two shallow dents below one handle. Footrim and base drilled to accommodate chord. Interior not visible due to light fitting.

E* De Labroue, a late 19th century gilt bronze ewer, in the style of Benvenuto Cellini, the wrythen neck above a putto riding a seahorse and a handle in the form of a satyr, the cylindrical body relief decorated with putti riding dolphins and blowing seashells, supported by three nereids, raised on a concave cornered square base, stamped 'E.De Labroue. Ft de bronzes. A Paris', 41cm highFootnote: Footnote: The fondeur E. De Labroue worked with some of the most eminent sculptors of the 19th century, reproducing important carved marble sculptures in bronze. See a cast bronze by Labroue of the famous white marble figure by Joseph-Michel-Ange Pollet entitled, titled Une heure de la nuit . This bronze was exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in 1855 and is now in the Museum of Rheims. Pradier and Carrier-Belleuse also permitted De Labroue to reproduce their work.Condition report: Generally ok, but for some dents and scratches, including the base. Wear on the gilding/finish.

The boy has a dull patination. Family provenance suggests the pair was split up and so one was polished, the other not, hence the difference when fairly recently reunited

A 19th century French gilt bronze bracket clock, with two train striking movement and Pompadour pink porcelain panels. Clock height 37 cm, width 19 cm, raised on a wooded plinth and complete with key and pendulum (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Other than being a little dusty the clock case is in very good condition. The gilding is good throughout with no significant loss. The porcelain panels are not cracked. The movement is fully wound on the left hand facing train. It does wind on the right hand train. The movement is running but does seem to stop after a minute or so. When the hands are advanced it is not striking. The pendulum and key are both present as is the bell. The porcelain dial is in generally good condition with only very minor rubbing to the gilding. There is a small surface chip to the right of the numeral 3. This is a surface chip and the pieces have been reglued but there is some minor loss. This should be visible on our image. It is a minor issue. The wooded base is in generally good order with only minor rubbing to the gilding. The rope twist braiding is loose.

A 19th century Chinese bronze vessel with wooden cover, of small proportions. Height 9.5 cm, width 7.5 cm, depth 5.7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lot is in very good condition. The lid is in good order with no damage or repairs. The base is also in good condition also again with no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration.
