The 3in dial with blue Roman numerals, regulation square above XII and blued steel 'moon' hands, the two train movement striking on a bell, in drum case surmounted by a bird and encircled by a garland of foliage and flower heads, the rococo base incorporating a central panel painted with lovers in a landscape reserved on a bleu celeste ground, flanked by two panels painted with foliage and flower heads separated by standing putti and raised on shell feet. 10.5in high. Signed on the dial and the back plate for the retailers 'Folkard & Son, Brighton'. (Lacks pendulum, dial cracked)
