Sir Peter Scott signed collection of 15 75th ann of the arrival of Captain Scotts arrival at the South Pole. Each cover is hand signed by Peter Scott and has a different Arctic scene illustrated in colour. Very attractive items with British Antarctic Territory stamps and postmark. Sir Peter Markham Scott, CH, CBE (Civil), MBE (Military), DSC and Bar, FRS, FZS (14 September 1909 29 August 1989) was a British ornithologist, conservationist, painter, naval officer, broadcaster and sportsman. The only child of Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott, he took an interest in observing and shooting wildfowl at a young age and later took to their breeding. He established the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Slimbridge in 1946 and helped found the World Wide Fund for Nature, the logo of which he designed. He was a yachting enthusiast from an early age and took up gliding in mid-life. He was part of the UK team for the 1936 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in sailing. He was knighted in 1973 for his work in conservation of wild animals and was also a recipient of the WWF Gold Medal and the J. Paul Getty Prize. Also included 8 other items - keyrings, keyring/cigarette lighter in the shape of a ball with England v France 03/10/51, a bronze medallion in a presentation box given to Bert Williams when Wolves played Gavile FC in Sweden 1946, and a matchbox in a presentation box from Al.K in the same year, a keyring Atletico Bilboa presented to Bert Williams by Zarra of Spain, who scored against England in the 1950 World Cup

A Third Reich Period Bronze Gothe Medal for Arts and Sciences, presented to Dr Emil Haselhoff, obverse with portrait of Johann Wolfgang von Gothe, reverse, eagle and swastika over ;Fur Kunst und Wissen Schaft' surrounded by legend and date 1932, named to edge as per title, in original case of issue, 7cm diameter, together with a newspaper cutting detailing the presentation of the medal to Dr Haselhoff on the occasion of his 80th birthday , in recognition of his services to the agricultural, chemical and pedagogical sciences.
