Firenze, Stabilimenti Artistici. Bronze medal, diameter 1,97 in. , weight 2,29 oz. ,designed by Tuscan sculptor Dante Manetti. Rare example of the medal awarded to the participants to the second World Cup tournament, held in Italy from May 27 to June 10, 1934, the first won by the Italian national team that defeated Czechoslovakia 2-1 in the final, with Vittorio Pozzo as coach. The nominal medal belonged to Uberto Aruga, a great supporter of sports in the Turin area and, among other things, technical director of the local stadium and manager of the Italian Football Association. Beautiful witness of the "Jules Rimet Cup", Italy’s first triumph in the world of football.
