A scarce 19th century American Steward muzzle loading line throwing gun, the iron barrel 32” with 2½” bore, with trunnions at the rear and bronze elevating ring 12” ahead of the breech, the breech with oval brass plate inscribed “Steward Davit/ &/ Equipment Corp/ Patent B334/17 Battery Place/ New York” on its iron mount, base plate embossed with the maker’s name and address. Basically GC.
