A large Chinese polished bronze 'bamboo' censer, Xuande apocryphal seal mark (1426-1435), 19th century Of rounded ovoid form with wide folded rim, each side adorned with twin bamboo cast handles extending to applied bamboo leaf terminals, raised on three tripod paw feet, further mounted on a cast polished bronze stand with pierced bamboo and foliage apron, overall height on stand 20.5cm high, 27cm diameter CONDITION REPORT: Extensive discolouration and wear to interior well, large hole/break in the lower base of the vessel, several dents to the exterior sides, pitting visible throughout, possible re-soldering to the terminals of the handles, base shows minor wear and breaks.
