He is wearing a himation, which is draped over his left shoulder and arm, and has put his weight slightly on his right leg so that his left leg is relaxed. His arms are raised and bent. The statuette has a flattened form, which is typical of statuettes of offerers, produced in the late fourth and third centuries BC; these statuettes, usually in a linear style, show the male offerer with his chest bare.Size: 180mm x 60mm; Weight: 520g.Provenance: Private collection; Ex. The 2664cc TX1 Bronze Auto was registered in February 2002 and the odometer shows circa 27,000 miles although the actual mileage is unknown as at the MoT test in August 2021, the mileage was noted as 394,469 miles. Its MoT expired in September 2024 after being tested the year before at an indicated 26,817 miles. The vehicle is reported as running and driving but hasn't been used since 2023. Paperwork with the car includes the V5C, print-out of the MoT history back to 2013, some MoT certificates and a single invoice.
A 19th century bronze oil lamp stand with a Japanese Awaji turquoise glazed vase. Later fitted for electricity, the column formed by a blue glazed globular vase with a long slender neck, with gilt bronze fittings and ribbon details, the collar stamped 'Miller & Sons, 179 Piccadilly Street', 45cm high (excluding fittings). Condition Report: A few chips under the metal fitting to the top, a few small general chips to the glaze also chips where the base joins the metal stand.

Siegbert Amler1929 Hirschberg/Schlesien - 2019 Glücksburg - Betender - Bronze. Braun patiniert. 23 x 38 x 22,5 cm. Auf der Rückseite sign. u. dat.: S. AMLER 2004. Gießervermerk: Kunstgießerei Bieber Bischoffen. Siegbert Amler durchlief zuerst eine Ausbildung zum Holzbildhauer, nahm dann ab 1950 Zeichenunterricht bei Prof. Ehlers in Detmold. Von 1954 bis 1956 studierte er schließlich an der Werkkunstschule Flensburg, wo er nach seinem Staatsexamen bis 1961 Meisterschüler war. Seit 1958 arbeitet er als freischaffender Künstler.

Edwin Whitney-Smith (1880–1952), Sculptor, born in Bath, Somerset, who studied art at Bath and Bristol Schools of Art.
