A Victorian burr yew wood and brass mounted desk stand, with gilt bronze bird surmount, with plaque inscribed 'presented to the Revd Michael Seymour Edgell BA, of Oriel College Oxford together with a purse of money from the congregation of the Parish Church of St Giles, Camberwell, in testimony of their respect and esteem, Easter 1859, 42cm wide.
A pair of circa 1900 Austrian cold-painted bronze figures of a cockerel and hen by Franz Bergman, each with glass eyes and bearing Bergman vase stamp CONDITION REPORTS Height of cockerel approx 28cm, height of hen approx 23cm. Both with wear and scuffs and some losses to the painted decoration, and quite a lot of losses to the red decoration to the combs. Some denting and mis-shaping to tail feathers. Some losses and flaking to decoration throughout. Some scratches. Some darkened areas around the legs, so it is not known whether they may have been some repairs to these areas.

Metropolitan Police Medal Group of Three, consisting of bronze 1897 Queen Victoria Jubilee medal, Edward VII 1902 bronze Coronation medal and George V 1911 coronation medal. Medals were awarded to PC J STEBBINGS P DIVN. Swing mounted for wear (1897 medal loose). P Division of the Metropolitan Police was stationed at Camberwell.
An important Polar Medal Group of six to: 295848 Bernard James Stone, Born Portsmouth, 28th January 1883- died Portsmouth, 2nd February 1940, comprising Queen's Medal SA (HMS Gibraltar, Polar Medal, George V Admiral Type, bronze issue, 1 bar for Antarctic 1910-13 (Leading Stoker. Terra Nova), 1914-15 Star, War medal, Victory medal (S.P.O. RN), Royal Navy Long Service Good Conduct Medal (S.P.O. HMS Victory). The group comes with copies of B.J. Stone's birth and death certificates, copy of service record, family tree and various copies of photographs, one on his wedding day in uniform and, like his best man and cousin C.P.O. Arthur S. Bailey, both wearing their Polar medals. (Arthur Bailey's Polar medal group of five and RGS bronze Scott memorial medal were sold by Morton & Eden Ltd, lot 616, 3rd October 2003, for £5,200) Provenance: By direct descent to present owner B.J.
