Manner of Pierre-Jules Mêne (1810-1879): A Pair of Patinated Bronze Horses, each with right foreleg raised, on rounded rectangular mount bases inscribed THE TAUNTON & WEST OF ENGLAND HORSE SHOW HELD ON JULY 30TH 1903 1st PRIZE LIGHT WEIGHT HUNTERS LADY SHELDRAKE THE PROPERTY OF ERNEST W ROBINSON, on rouge marble plinths, 50cm long. Some typical wear to patination, particularly on bases. Some chipping and flaking to marble. Free from breaks and repairs.
A Bronze Mortar, probably Spanish, 16th century, of campana form, cast with masks within architectural borders, 11cm diameter; and A Bronze Campana Vase, in 18th century style, with twin handles, cast with flowers on a circular socle and painted wooden base, 16cm high (2). Mortar with small section of rim missing. Typical dents and surface abrasions throughout. Some oxidisation. Vase with some typical dents and minor scratching. Wooden base with losses and repairs.
A Pair of Gilt and Patinated Bronze Figural Candlesticks, late 19th century, as two putti draped in leaf swags supporting an urn on a fluted and leaf-sheathed column and circular base, swept circular black marble plinth, 49.5cm high, converted to electricity, with later fittings and shades. Drilled for electricity. Some loss to patination and possibly some reworking of patination.
