An extremely fine large Chinese gilt bronze Buddha, modelled holding a pagoda in left hand and the right hand held up with palm facing towards viewer, the body applied with numerous Buddha figures in relief and a four character mark to rear, and a flower head motif to base, 13 1/4" (39cms). (1)
A rare heavy 19th Century bronze Chinese Censor, (Xuanele period) the rim decorated with floral design, the main body embellished one side with immortals and other figures in native attire in typical landscape, the other with warriors on horseback in battle attire, and unusual fish handles, the raised circular inverted base with square six character 'Xuanele' mark surrounded by five clawed dragons, approx. 31cms diameter x 11cms high (12" x 4 1/2"); weight 3.995kgs. A hollow-formed bronze figure of an actor resting on a chair, wearing a thigh-length tunic and Greek actor's mask with scooped mouth, a scroll held in the left hand. 238 grams, 70mm (2 3/4"). Property of a South London collector; previously acquired on the European art market 1970-1980. Fine condition.

A substantial bronze appliqué mask of Venus (Greek Aphrodite) with carefully dressed hair gathered in a palla tied at the brow with a spray of leaves; square socket to the reverse. 448 grams, 68mm (2 3/4"). A matched pair of sheet-silver dress- or cloak-fasteners, each an 8-shaped plaque with beaded edge and central bridge, bronze reinforcement to the reverse and ferrous attachment pin. 71.3 grams total, 15-15.2cm (6").
