A Japanese bronze elephant jardinière by Seiya, Meiji period (1868-1912) cast as a continuous band of elephants in high relief, stamped to underside, 24cm H x 40cm W CONDITION REPORT: One ear appears to obtain a casting fault (see images). Interior condition commensurate with age. Generally grubby with some surface wear.
A bronze spelter figural lamp after Bruchon, modelled as Victory holding a torch, with named plate 'La Paix', on ebonised base, 79cm H, with an associated frosted glass shade (2) CONDITION REPORT: The finish is dull throughout with a rough texture. The drape to the shoulder appears to be original - probably to disguise a join in the manufacture. The light fitting is not original and is loose. General wear to the base. Attention will be needed. Lighting lots are sold as decorative items only, prospective buyers must consult with a qualified electrician before use or installation of these items.
