His home town has a fountain that depicts his children on two life-size dolphins while a life-size figure of a Boy on a Rocking Horse is in Kensington Gardens. His bronze of the Queen's horse Burmese stands in the Mews Museum in Windsor.W

Antoine-Louis Barye, French, 1795-1875, A TIGER AND ANTELOPE, signed; BARYE, bronze, rich green brown patinah.33.5cm., w.50cm.This Barye model is known in two similar versions, the other without the layered integral base that appears on the present work. While the plaster working model is untraced, the bronze master-model is in the Lafarge collection in Paris and is illustrated, together with a cast in the Louvre (OA 5749) by Poletti & Richarme. At the vente Barye of 1876 the model was aquired by the Brame foundry. The present cast is likely to be a Brame cast pre-dating 1900 by some time. A pendant to the group, Panthere saisissant un cerf, shares the same attractive layered base.W
