Gore Ouseley (1770-1884) was British ambassador to Russia from 1814 to 1820, having previously negotiated the Perso-Russian treaty of Gulistan in 1813 when ambassador to the court of Fath Ali Shah. This is one a series of archaeological monographs by Köhler published in St Petersburg c.1810-20. Library Hub traces three copies (British Library, Oxford and Cambridge).
