GASTON D'ILLIERS (1876-1952) - BRONZE SCULPTURE OF A HORSE a bronze sculpture Bucking Percheron, with the horse bucking and balanced on one foot, with a circular bronze base and mounted on a square marble plinth. Also with another similar figure, of slightly smaller proportions. Both signed to the bronze G D'illiers, one figure loose from the base and with the remains of a trade label underneath. 16.5cms and 14.5cms high. (2) *This model was used as a study for a car mascot, Gaston D'illiers is best known for his sculptures of horses.
