An attractive bronze Guanyin, late Ming/early Qing, seated cross-legged on a lotus throne holding a disc, the hair and other details finely chased, fingers restored, chip to hair, 22.5cm, contemporary wood stand (2) The depression on the headdress and necklace would originally have held jewels. While the figure is Chinese in style, the strong possibility remains that it is actually Japanese; the hair particularly is indicative. 明末清初 铜铸观音坐像 CONDITION REPORT: Right hand section of hair ornament missing, left hand fingers repaired, one lotus petal broken at rear. The wood stand with some losses.
