A late 19c French garniture de cheminee in black polished slate and bronze. The clock element consists of a rectangular slate base containing the clock, with bronze paw feet and foliage side handles, surmounted by a good figural bronze of Thetis by Emile Hebert. She is depicted resting on an anvil with her sword and shield by her whilst she applies her leg armour. The 4""diam dial is bronze with gilt applied numerals and the movement rack strikes on a bell. The side elements have similar black slate bases supporting bronze Greek classical urns with applied masks forming the handles, the clock element stands 24"" high overall and the urns 15"" high.
A 19c Oriental bronze incense burner in the form of an elephant in ceremonial costume supporting a pagoda structure, the elephants costume panels are decorated with dragons in relief and the pagoda finial is a dragon with open mouth clutching a pearl. Constructed in three parts, the elephant lined with fire clay, 28.5""h, 24""w.
WILLIAM PYE - A WATER SCULPTURE entitled ""SIBIRICA MINOR"" First of an edition of six fashioned in CAST GREEN PATINATED BRONZE in 2003. Height 80 cm without base width 125 cm, it includes a wrought metal stand and pump (pump for spares and repairs on ly). CRICKET - GEOFF BOYCOTT Limited edition bronze statue of "Sir" Geoffrey playing the shot which brought up his 100th hundred, comes complete with certificate of authenticity stating that it is 59 of an edition Limited to One Hundred. Certificate is signed by Boycott. Also included in this Lot is a copy of Bill Frindalls score book which covers the 1977 Centenary Test and the England v Australia Series during which Boycott scored his 100th Hundred, 191 v Australia, 4th Test at Headingley. The statue, illustrated in the catalogue, measures 25cm in height and is on a black marble base. Good
SIMEON STAFFORD (b.1956) A Contemporary cold painted limited edition bronze figure of a girl performing cartwheels in purple dress with black band, with dog at her side, titled `Dot and Trixie`, signed, dated, `1/1/14`, no. 4/7, to base. Stafford has developed a number of recurring motifs in his work, which can be looked out for, such as `Dot`, a young girl cartwheeling (his aunt as a child) with `Trixie` the dog, who was Stafford`s pet Jack Russell, approx. 49cm high.
